We had the morning run from the open, now it needs to make up its mind after this consolidation to either give us the retrace to the open or the bearish continuation, once I see either confirmed I will enter again. Not setting any targets to enter out of this consolidation yet. Not interested in small trades of a few pips, am always looking for the bigger moves. Still biased towards 4475, we have some room left in the weekly range and going by the last few weeks, we could easily see another 300 pip move today.

Caveat: It is Freaky Friday so anything can happen.

Thankfully not as freaky as last Friday. Has bounced off the trend line I drew earlier, and is going back for another go now by the looks of it. Not exactly moving quickly today!

What, we dropped 100 from London open in a few hours, no pleasing you is there?

I am letting this compress a bit more before I jump in, you know me, don't like the rapids, always wait for the river to start flowing before I jump on my lilo. Still stocking up on beers and scratchings.

I couldn't help but notice that this opening fulfills the requirements
for the much-fabled Big Ben breakout (.pdfs here and here). It swung
up and then swung down again,...but then it started to consolidate
around 1.4535-1.4555. (There are comments about the BBBreakout
Strategy in the Dec. 2006 issue of Currency Trader, on pg. 8.
Google Breakout! Dollar Dive filetype : pdf and it should be
your first result. Take out the spaces around the colon when you
do so.)

As of 4.5 hours after the London open, the price is still inching up
towards a reversal, and the kumo does thin out on the 15-min. charts
at 1.4585.

Since the new range high is 1.4633, I've put in a buy order for a few
pips above that.

LOL sorry. I missed this mornings boat, going to try to catch the afternoon one and see which way I go (which will be sinking at a guess).

After a London break like this morning she either reverses or continues, Quicky is looking at the continuation and BB is aiming for the reversal, I am still eyeing the continuation. You need to make your mind up for yourself. We are at the consolidation point after the break from the open. Like they say, sh!t or get off the pot.

It can get confusing taking tradecalls of the forum as we all have different targets, different RR ratios and trade different TF's.

I am watching fibre too as it has consolidated nicely after a London break down.

OK, no problem. Was just curious as there are people going both ways and like to see why calls are made. I'm always getting it wrong so trying to see how people work!

Thanks again, more notes to take

I can't help but think up myself now as it's gone back above that trend line, which of course means I'd go long and kill BB's trade and you and Quicky can cash in!
