Many of STOPs were taken out on that last move throughout the entire fx market.

Would hate to be the big trader trying to get out of that.

No trader is trying to get out of that......... This parity level is going to be defended for days.

Meh...kinda sorta. There's a lot of duplicity in the fx world and a lot of players for different reasons.

Just remember it's better to be a Porsche in the market than an Aircraft carrier.

The last time that EUR/USD has been at parity was two decades ago. However, there is an expected hike in Fed rate coming for the US which is expected to support the dollar from behaving as abnormally as the EUR. However, there are contributing factors which might lead to another break below parity before going back up as it is a dominant pair globally. Not only is it affected by many different factors but it also is the currency pairs for two of the largest economies around the world.

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out and is important to know that all trading does carry risk.
Looking at 1.0051/61 for a pause, or a break to 1.0098/1.0123.

In principle, the big trader does not always intervene in price movements in the market, except for the direction of price movement not in accordance with the big trader scenario in the direction, range, volatility, unless the big trader has a special need/interest in price, the rest is left to Herd/Tier 2.

OK, I won't tell you that I do: You can read any of my recent posts with images and see for yourself if I do or not. LAGGING indicators are great to use for "follow the leader" trading.

What do you mean by "follow the leader"?
Do you mean that indicators can be used to watch retailer's move?

Not at all. I mean that LAGGING indicators tend to signal entries AFTER a new swing is confirmed. That way, the indicator that is LAGGING behind price shows potential trade entries in a direction that is HIGHY LIKELY to continue. No "guessing" about an entry followed by "hope & pray" involved that a turn will happen "soon" because of things like:
it's overbought/oversold;
price exceeded the outer band;
price is near a round number;
price hit a pivot level;
price hit a Fib level;
my leading indicator was triggered;
and on and on ...


Similar to driving behind another car looking for a desirable outcome: If you see ahead a possibility of the car continuing on its current path or making a turn, you don't care which it does--even if a turn signal starts flashing (a leading indicator), it doesn't mean that the signaled path will actually be taken. So, you simply FOLLOW THE LEADER as you lag behind. Also, if the car speeds up or slows down, you are lagging behind it, so you can decide if you want to continue to follow or take a break from it all.

Good morning. With lot going on the fundamental scene of EU - a new story: resignation of Draghi in Italy and Friday I am afraid that EU will spike up - chances are bigger from yesterday.

FED has pured some cold water in 1.00% rise and ECB is going to meet next week posibly for 0.25% rise, but lots of talks that it is going to raise another 0.25% are on the wires. Also I expect to see its new bond program.

So, we may see some profit taking from the bears and the price above 1.0100.

From the other EU is bearish and it can drop to yesterdays lows again, but it needs to break 0.9984 support first, if 1.0011 doesn't support a small drop from here, or from the upper range at around 1.0051.

A break of the last (1.0051) should bring higher prices; only if, bulls want to follow then, 1.0098 should come sweet.

In the US Retail sales is the main event and the calendar forecasts a better view.
