I admit, I was on the bearish side in early Jan... But as you point out, I traded volatility as opposed to the EURUSD. I haven't had a naked EURUSD position for months.

Yes, my thoughts have somewhat switched. But no overnight, it has been changing for a while. Plus I would like to state for the record, I am not bullish, nor am I long. I don't think the EURUSD rises over the medium term.

But I am still long EURUSD volatility.

there are people on either side, there are bulls, there are bears. Look at polls for EURUSD, nearly everyone is bearish. Does that mean If I am short I am copying someones idea?

I don't think so, if so everyone short would be copying GS/JPM/MS or whatever.

the last rate cut saw a higher EURUSD, it would stand to reason that with no analysis the same reaction would occur again. not exactly copying someone, but suggesting a repeat of the past.

I agree, taking someone's ideas and presenting them as ones own is wrong. But this would be the case if I had copy/pasted from Goldmans recent FX monthly, which I clearly have not.

so, who do you think I have copied? or claiming their thoughts are mine?

fwiw, Dankse bank copanhagen office quoting EURUSD at 1.3809/11 so far, no gap this week. but there is no reason for one so...

its not the only factor in my analysis.

consider peripheral debt spreads YTD, inflation trends since then. ECB rhetoric.. etc etc etc

many things have changed since then.

Magix, long/ short volatility is a position - he may not trade net positioning on a specific currency, but anticipating rising risk premiums could be profitable trade..
