A 2000+ pip bar for December 08

WTF Euro?!?!?

I laughed when I heard on Bloomberg that the Euro's still around 1.30 after 2 months vacation.

Euro has the last laugh and says no chump, I've moved 2000+ up and 2000+ back down

Hope you all made some nice pips. I spent a heap of mine

If you say retest, thats a 500 pip downward move. It seems to early too state such a bold statement imho.

Interest rates aren't meaningless. I'm not even gonna go into that one. Tomorrows interest rate announcement will most likely create volatility
Ignored
Usually a currency depreciate if interest rate of that country move lower or vice versa, which is not the case with yen and the dollar at this moment. He didnt mean central bank news release volatility .

Not sure how true but MACD is neutralising and I saw a descending triangle/flag pattern.

Ticker didn't say they were meaningless, you did. He said they meant "amost nothing" relative to currency trading, and in the context of of his post, that was an accurate statement. He then presented an alternative.

The carry trade that was built on rate differentials is dead and gone. Kaputzo. So I agree, they mean almost nothing in currency trading circles at the present time. And since you're not gonna go into it, I'll also leave it at that.

Whatever volatility tomorrows news brings will be short lived at best. I am anticipating that the existing downtrend will just resume, and so on until some other thing diverts it.

The North Pole race was awesome but the scenery at the camping site in the African salt flats was fantastic.

I'd like to do both
