Maybe you cannot pay at a gasoline station with LIRA or PESETO currently ...
But you can go to an Exchange Bank ... and then you can ...
A currency does not implode ! ! !

It even won't be costly to do that ...
As most of those coins and notes still exist ... they are stored in special under surface BUNKERS by the Bundesbank ... and more than 20 Billion DEM never been exchanged into EURO ... they are still circulating ...
