Has anybody else had trouble when trying to open an account with MBT UK? I click the link in my email to register, put in all my info, all the fields have a green check mark... but when I click the "Set up access now" button, it returns the same 3 errors every time:

* Invalid salutation
* Invalid country
* Invalid referral

After that the Country dropdown box goes blank so I can't re-select...thought it doesn't seem to matter as I get the error no matter what country or salutation or referral I use. I have also tried with both Firefox and IE.

Anyone else run across this?

Yes, I got this too. I thought it was the browser but it wasn't. In the end I changed the country of application from HK to UK and that worked.

BTW, seems like MBT UK back office operation still in US as US office asking for more details from me and I thought they were seperate entities. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi Justin

i'm sure this has been asked before but it's a long thread and i can't find it. what is the difference between deskyop and desktop pro? Also i noticed MBT UK doesn't have the web based platform, will this change?

Further to these questions will there be accounts in AUD in the future? Aussie banks charge a F-load to make payments/transfers in foriegn currencies. It seriously increases the cost of business for aussie clients having accounts in a non-AUD denomination

Hi Justin,
When are you going to put some information about MBT UK on mbtrading.com? There are several brokers, i.e. alpari, oanda or fxcm which have links to the branches from their main sites and they seem to feel good with that...
"hey hey what can I do"

Here is a 500 tick chart of EUR/
USD that I just pulled from the historical server. Why does it look like this?
Notice the volume at the bottom. There should be an indicator that counts the number of ticks so you know how close to end of bar you are.

Hi Justin,

It has been almost 2 weeks since I submitted on 7/15/2011 all required supporting documents online when signing up for a MB Trading UK live account. I was subsequently contacted twice through email to resubmit my supporting documents which i requested a reason for the resubmission and got no reply. I then submitted 2 tickets through the client area regarding the issue, also getting no reply. I tried contacting twice through Skype during US/UK trading hours, also to no avail. Furthermore, i sent a request through the contact form, no reply again.

Do assist me in understanding the issues regarding the delay of my MB Trading UK live account application. In the client area, it is stated as Deficient. Kindly let me know how to proceed.

I have sent you an email regarding this matter. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance.

The Desktop was our original proprietary platform and the predecessor to the Desktop Pro. They both offer the same order types and most of the windows have the same look and feel. However, the Pro offers a suite of new tools and a robust charting package that is not available via the Desktop. Additionally, the Pro offers Options trader advanced order placement and analytics.

Yes, the MBT Web will be available for UK soon.

Everyone, you might want to check out the market profile and improved point and figure in the new MBT Desktop Pro 2.0

Two things are needed for the point and figure:

1) The ability to apply drawing tools and studies and have crosshairs correspond with the other regular charts when scrolling - to gain perspective.

2) Years of clean historical tick data (and the server capacity) to build the charts.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions, I'll make sure they are passed along to the proper department.

The UK and US branches are separate entities, but there are occasions right now when US representatives who have been pre-approved are requested to assist the UK branch with the some of the influx.

I'm having a similar issue with my UK application. Was requested to send supporting documents again yesterday after sending twice already. I'm sure there is nothing wrong with the documents, they were the same ones used to open a US account which was processed on the same day i sent them
