New cross function for Advanced Currency Strength28 Indicator version 3.1 (MT4)

Now that I do not trade crosses but the double GAP but it is often requested by customer I finally added a special cross pattern. Every trader has his personal view of the market, so you got the choice to use it or not.

How to use

=== Alert settings CS cross

1. activate currency cross functions (default false!)
2. cross market Fib slope
3. use 4 bars cross pattern (false = 3 bars)
4. alert currency cross
5. show triangle on subwindow
6. show vertical line for chart symbol

The function is NOT active by default!

Description:

1. activate currency cross functions (default false!)

Set to true to get cross alerts. It will show only on a live candle (when it is closed). It is not showing historical signals. If you change pair or TF it will delete the old signs. Test the visual on M1 to understand how it works.

1. cross market Fib slope

This value is similar to GAP Market Fib. The value represents the Market Fibonacci level when a GAP or the required slope is reached. It is a special shared currency strength angle/slope of both the base and quote currency strength. Set higher to have stronger crosses.

1. use 4 bars cross pattern (false = 3 bars)

The default is a 3 bar pattern. Set to true to use 4 bars. 4 bars will give the pattern more time to complete but the pattern may not be as strong or later.

1. alert currency cross

To get an alert. Choose if via MT4 or push or email or all of them.

1. show triangle on subwindow

This will draw a triangle on the subwindow. The color is chosen by the base currency color line.

1. show vertical line for chart symbol

This will draw a vertical line if the alert match to the symbol of the chart.

Update to Post 20 and 21:
We had a lot of work to prepare our MT4 with historical data when we started in the beginning of 2016. But now there is good news!

With the new version 3.3 Advanced Currency Strength28 Indicator, this process is now fully automated!
Just plot the indicator on a chart and it will automatically add all needed symbols to the market watch and update all necessary historical data in a background charts and keep them alive.
You will find the correspondent input parameters with

1. open support charts!
2. run support charts also on cross pairs!

The currency strength cross pattern

I added the cross function because many customers asked for. But we do not want to alert every simple cross. I added my special double GAP function to the cross to make sure there is momentum in the currency strength. This is how the new graphic looks with the special cross pattern. You have the choice of a 3-bar and a 4-bar pattern. Each pattern will be with an alert. You will receive an alert with the corresponding pair to buy or sell. It will draw a triangle on the sub-window for all patterns and a vertical line if the cross matches the charts symbol. The color is chosen by the base currency line color.





Make sure it is in agreement with the higher TF trend and apply all rules of post 69.


For above charts graphic change following inputs in indicator properties:
Line width other 6 CS = 1
Line other 6 CS dotted = true
So base and quote currency of the chart is automatically drawn in bold and the other 6 currency lines dotted.

I've been trading for a few years now and have seen just about every kind of indicator. This is by far one of the most impressive, maybe even the best, indicator that I have ever used. I've tried to use currency strength meters in the past but it never really clicked with me until I used this one. I trade reversals so it's critical for me to get in with confidence that the market is exhausted and is about to move in the opposite direction. This indicator is exceptional at calling tops and bottoms when one currency is overbought while the other is oversold, even in a market that is trending or one that has broken out. And when I say 'oversold' or 'overbought' I mean it relative to the market as a whole, not just that particular pair, which is what this indicator provides in *real* time. The great thing about it is that it doesnt lag price action while providing enough smoothness to eliminate short-term noise that may be affecting one particular pair, as opposed to one specific currency as a whole. When you see lines reversing at the fib levels it really is a sign that price action is gathering momentum and price is beginning to reverting to its mean. Whatever your style of trading Im confident that the ACS28 will provide you with an extra edge and an exceptional view of the market that will make your trading much easier.

Even people say the month August is bad, there are holidays and Market is not moving.
But they might just not look at the right pair and time frame.
Opportunity exists:



1) green: outside-GAP trade until exit with pink X.
2) pink: inside-GAP trade from outer MFibs (AUD from MFib -261 and EUR from MFib 161), reversal-trade.

How to trade...
With Set and forget...

It is the responsibility of the trader how to execute the trade with a CS signal. I say this many times because each trader has a different psychology. I want you to have freedom and be in control of your trading. I have posted about this a long time ago but we can recall it now. All the main and optional rules have been posted with many trade examples so we can discuss how to trade on the "chart" after the signals.

Basically, we can use 3 methods when it comes to opening a trade.

1. direct market order
2. pending limit order
3. pending stop order

1. If it looks just right then use a market order.
2. If you see the move went already far (entry looks late) you can use pending limit order at a pullback (for example 50 to 61.8 fib).
3. If you find price starting in consolidations and higher TF is still strong you can use pending stop order for a breakout of the range for a continuation trade.

1. Always set an expiration time to your pending orders. (Depends of the signals timeframe, like 7 or more candles in the future.)

The trade below was triggered with a pending limit order at 61.8 fibs set at the time of the impulse alert (A set and forget trade). No direct market order was used because USD was already below MFib -100 so a pullback was expected first. Price came back and activated the order. Supported from the higher TF CS trend it went to TP. The next supply level inner line was used to optimize TP. This way we have a trade with a smaller SL and a bigger TP.

Back to the original indicators:
Using high risk/reward (RR) is profitable in the long run. Here SL is 20 pip and TP is 100 pip.
Conditions must meet. Higher TF with the diverging direction of base and quote currency is a must.
Higher TF CS: H4 EUR was falling and NZD rising = Sell EURNZD. The trend will be valid until higher TF itself will reach outer MFib levels or price reach H4/D1 demand zone.
Then the entry is with Impulse signal and agreement of ACS28 (within MFib range, MFib no extremes, no high C-Volume). (Buy signal on the M5 chart were ignored because it is against the trend H4.)
