No no, I am not referring to the bugs that are discussed on the thread. I was just thinking out loud, recently I got one chap that was having an issue with "allow live trading". Despite setting it correctly, he is still getting the message from the EA, yet the EA is working.. Weird.. very weird. There are a couple of other issues that I have been shown that I cannot figure out. That's what I was referring to.

But as far as i am concerned i use the weekly as Daily too but in certain days Thu is fine too or Tue ...for example it but depends

O no sorry, was just adding a bit of fun to the topic.
You are doing a great job and the EA is "fresh" so there are bound to be start-up/broker/misuse problems.

An interesting observation between the weekly baskets with MA 3/5 and 5/12 settings.

The standard MA 3/5 is doing far better with total profit although the 5/12 basket did have less DD. I'm still undecided if using the 5/12 settings is beneficial in the long term, I'll have to do more testing.

Hmmm. Well at the least you can see the perTrade count working to create the TP.
According to the numbers you are showing the TP should of been triggered at little over 300 pips. The numbers you see on the screen are the same numbers that EA uses to figure it out. This is the logic in the EA that performs this.
if ((TP>0 and PipGain>TP) or (SL>0 and PipGain<=SL) )then CloseTrades(). So the portion (TP>0 and PipGain>TP) should of been true and triggered the CloseTrades() function.

The other thing that may be affecting it, is if in the CloseTrades() function the closures are being skipped. In that function I have the EA check that the trade being closed contains the magic number and that the comments also contain the magic number. So unless those two things are different the trades should be closed.

Alrighty then, I will have the EA Print out the PipGain and TP/SL to see exactly what the EA is looking at, stay tuned this WILL be solved.

Thank you for the screen shots. I see,, yep that version cannot handle these types of situations. Please use v37.7.6. That already has the code in it that will prevent this from happening. Go on.. get your profit back

Folks: Please do not use the vBasket feature at the moment. The logic to open and close baskets has been improved but I have not added that improvement yet to the vBasket. If you are not having problems with the version you have then continue using it, otherwise please wait for the next release.

Some of you have been asking about my live account using this EA. The last % was at 95% profit and it was on the 11th week of operation. I have stopped trading for the last two (or 3) weeks due to many events. I won't start trading till I am done with this and some other projects. Even though I run EAs I still monitor them and on occasion will manually intervene, so with this workload I cannot keep track of the EAs so for now I am just a coding machine LOL. Peace

thanks to Forexpinbar , Xmess and all other guys who has helped to develop this system. i am using the EA (version 37.7.1) in the morning to open up the basket then go to work and its says stop loss 200 pips and 500 target profit but when i check at the end of the day sometime the profit loss exceeds 200 and other times the target profit target exceeds 500. can someone please guide why this happens? thanks for your help in advance. i have never used EA before so a bit new to this.

That's just 240 ccfp and when the basket is done look for the next one.

Now i know that the topic is "set and forget weekly" but that is based on the principle that after a weekly directional bar another weekly bar will follow in the same direction.
Well, check your 28 10080 charts for the better part it is true and when starting trading you could be lucky and hit the sweet spot (second weekly bar).
If you are unlucky and hit the weekly reversal you have to at least be prepared to lose the same amount of pips (yeah right pips, i mean money) as you made (or haven't not yet) when trading the previous weekly settings.
Short: if you want to trade weekly (ccfp 10080) than take it like a man (sorry girls) and take the same DD or loss as you would take profit.
So FF or FT settings look nice but they can cause serious DD or loss.
Do not forget you are basically trading the signals from a week before.

I have experimented a few things constantly and FT and TT could "generally" good for short term only
depending on the day ... So the basic thing i do is to see the trend strength
from the morning and decide the timing (how long i will let the trade run)
no point for me to use the Basket close at such and such time of the day, and i close only
after FT TT have gathered a few pips ...or not _ sadly
I use them basically to grab pips from the morning and run ...

use v37.7.6 per xmess7 -- see 2 articles above your post.

Sometime back when xmess7 initially reported 2x in 10 weeks, there should have been with it massive fireworks and loud John Philip Sousa march music--instead it passed quietly into the ether.

Since everyone here understands the compounding effects of profits, we all know 2x in 10 weeks means 32x in a year. If a trader keeps that up for 10 years, the account multiplies by 1,000,000,000,000,000x. Even if a trader misses a few zeros, what the heck, there are still plenty more.

The big message, IMO, is that new software or extensive modifications are NOT necessary. Perpetual tweaking of EA parameters is NOT necessary. Just cross the start line on the path to enlightenment!

What time did you open these baskets on Monday? 9:00 GMT as usual?

Hence why a vanilla version will also be released in the end. Actually I may call it gold cause it's based on the page 1 golden rules. I figure it will only have 4 inputs. That's all that was used during the 11 week journey. Cheers, to continuing this journey...
