AUDUSD is narrow range sideways but to the upside... this market type is not good for TMS trading.

Hi,

That chart is D1 and as a general rule, we do not take a trade when the market is in consolidation. That MC[3] is market consolidation range and that Dec30 candle did not close above the MC[3] High.

What can TMS traders do when the D1 is in consolidation?

Why not look at lower timeframe as trade using that D1 MC[3] High-Low as support and resistance.
using price action the same way you use it in D1 trading, you can possibly have taken a trade in H1 (narrow range MC[3]) or even H4 if the MC[3] high -low is wide range.

Not forgetting that day (Dec 30) was year end holiday season and market liquidity is usually lower that week.

What I am doing here the last few months is that newbies go back and trade like Big E when he was a newbie trader back in 2008. He traded the first Synergy trading model released in 2006/2007. To put it simply, trade the trend of the moment. If you pick tops and bottoms, you risk being locked in the trend when the reversal or correction has not happened.

there is no MC but there is a D1 IB and there is breakout of the Mother Bar of the IB. A bullish engulfing bar BUEB setup.

- below the low of the BUEB

I look at the price bar for the Price Action. It is the same as candlesticks.

my HA candles are in the background for its purpose.

Even if I had used say 2% of my trading capital, and trading small lots, it still mean my trading capital is locked in DD.
I can use that money and trade other pairs.

NZDUSD Week 21 update3 May 24:

yesterday was a pullback of about 37pips from its high.
Today, I moved my TP higher (between the last spike and BRN .7100) and with more profit protected, today to see if that spike high can be tested or else, I close the trades when the HA candle closes with colour change.
Better listen to London session and what happens in the commodity markets.

Thanks for the info.

Since APB/PAC trade in D1, do we exit before big news like NFP or FOMC meeting or central bank interest rate announcement ??

Lets do it in live trading.

Show me a chart of any pair on the day before NFP and FOMC, and I will explain what I usually do in managing trades.

Hi Emm,

I am a newbie here are to Forex. As you have instructed I was reading all the previous posts and I have to admit I have not finished them all and might have skipped a few. But to start with I would like to get my chart right. I have downloaded as instructed from post #25 and added to Metatrader 4, but my chart doesn't looks the same as yours. So could you please help me identify what I am missing and help me to fix it?

Hello Emmanuel,

I have setup the TMS system on metatrader 4 and can report back my first trade profit of £82.78 (demo).

I am unsure of the 5 EMA settings/values and was hoping you can relay to me.

I was also hoping for an overall sanity check of my setup to ensure it is correct going forward.
