My time to post some here
I've been silent most of the time, trying various setups that were introduced by others and some of mine, here's my path so far.
I've played with demo ever since the thread was opened and decided to go live about a month ago, give or take a few days.
On my live account I've tried weekly FF for a while, it was great so I started using it for daily baskets, two weeks later I switched to TF per Xmess7's recommendation and various others, my own tests showed it was good, as well.
During that time, my small live account had grown from 200$ to 400$ and got split into two 200$ accounts copying trades from one to the other and both had grown to 320$, each.
Then last week came and I've lost about 100$, managed to return some and lost another 100$ this week, as well. Both accounts were reduced to 205$ and I was wondering what I did wrong, I looked at the charts, opened baskets at various hours and then it dawned on me.
I need to thank the person who suggested Trade Level 1 for the MTF D1/H4 combination, I wouldn't have thought about it myself, I thought it was too "wide" and for TheRealDeal, as well, because even though I was thinking I looked at the charts, I was using an EA to open the trades and some were opened where I wasn't comfortable opening them but for the sake of "The Basket" I let it slide and those trades, eventually, ate up most of my profits and the fact that I was trying to "help" "save" the baskets didn't help, at all.
So I lost and read and thought about it and went back to the early days of using scripts to open trades manually with the D1/H4, Trade Level 1 with all four combinations (FF. TT. FT, TF) and looking carefully at each chart and only opening those trades I felt OK with (I'm not a good trades so "feeling good" or "feeling great" about a trade is still something I need to learn) and watched those new baskets take turns in going in and out of profit and into DD, eventually, I've recovered all of my losses and scored a few $$ more (I'm not counting pips, money (and managing it right), I think, is a better way of looking at trades).
So, that's my story so far, both my accounts' TE are linked to my profile if anyone's interested (my first account is at huge loss because it's my testing account but the second one has a nice curve to it), I hope to be able to spot those "shotgun" moments when I can open a whole basket from an EA and not worry about it (great job there, X ) but until that time comes, I'll do my best to collect as much knowledge and money from this strategy, as I can.
Next stop, three accounts with 300$ in each (and yes, my 200$ had turned into 667$ with a DD of 30% which I hope to reduce as time goes by and I've evolved in my trading).
So, thanks to all who have taken the time to think this strategy into existence, all of you who had test it and still are, and of course, The Great X Man who was and still is, patient with me and my pestering questions.
