No they buy options for hedging purposes, options wont move the markets. Institutions very rarely take outright directional trades. The most important thing for them is not to loose money so the first thing they ask is where the risk is and how are they protected.

The imbalance of Puts to Calls is Bullish. OTM Puts = Bullish
You can see from that chart there are far more puts than calls.

Look at the big Put and Call levels and where the overnight option vol comes in to see what levels will be defended. These traders are called Gamma scalpers who buy options as protection and either buy or short a level.

There is a whole lot of other stuff with ITM options and Max pain, 25 Deltas (option pricing) but I wont go into that.

this is it probably reloading to head on up more. i took a short at 1094 for kicks. set it at b/e now and see if i can get a few pips through some miraculous retracement. thanks trump! lol
