Maybe we also need to consider the type of info that was given to the Russians. It was info about a planned ISIS operation. Doesn't really seem to be very critical info when national security is concerned. Also I think most people consider ISIS to be a global nuisance at best that will be taken out of existence for their horrific acts. ISIS is an enemy of both US and Russia. So will the market really care about this info being given, I don't know, but the info seems a bit irrelevant in the larger scheme of things.

but thats the mid term target right?

I wonder what gets us there. Maybe a trump induced risk-off may get us there even in a violent short term swing. hopefully, as I loaded on the recent low after it failed to break.

I think we crossed the line of no return this time.

--> This is set to become the first major DT 'faux pas' we have been waiting for since day one. The news has spread and spreading fast beyond US national politics and is being covered globally. He will have a very hard time shaking off this one without sever collateral damage with only alternative to be war (odds exploding to the upside for the summer after this news) to create a buffer and distraction.

--> Whatever the case, as we discussed, Treasuries and Bonds led started moving in the background last week while sending major signals that something is cooking in the background.

--> On your ???? Yes, that target it's the final extension target I got in Gold but its unlocked and within shooting range from the inflation front since Q1 2017. There are critical outlook updates coming today in Dollar, Gold and to lesser extend Yen*.

====

I wont update them live in the thread since I don't want to disrupt the conversation flow it's taking place in the thread this week that is rather very technical and very micro term oriented. I will keep sidelined from making macro analysis and major flows comments in general and in the Euro especially to give some space to @Pharm0r and others to do it in their own terms.

So without a major blow out in the markets, wont be saying much except small chatter and questions if any this week so feel free to drop me a line via PM if you want to discuss Gold in details.

{quote} exactly, now its on the news org to prove it. Otherwise, just more ammo for Trump. Makes the news stations that attack him look like they are on a witch hunt (many are)....but their issues are self perpetuating every time they put out a story with nothing to back it up... I'm not saying anything others aren't already saying, even in the media...yet they continue on

It looks like they were/are trying to cover up the Seth Rich story with their (newest) blown up centralised narrative. His leaking the DNC info to Wikileaks, as just reported by private investigator former homicide detective Rod Wheeler, would put the lie to the narrative that there was Russian interference/involvement in that act- let alone that DJT had anything to do with it.

It seems they sit on these kind of made-up/fake news stories then pick opportune times to unload them, blowing them up by sheer reach of their connectivity coupled with partisan hysteria. The latter helps you forget that it's basically just anonymous sources saying Trump bad/Russia bad or something along those lines.

One particularly graphic example of the cynical timing of, what I believe is an increasingly dangerous MSM leading the USA into a soft civil war, was Trumps well received speech to Congress. At the risk of the country uniting and coming together they conjured a Jeff Sessions story out of the thin-air, ignoring context and blew that up too.

The facts/substance/context don't matter when you have all organs of control singing from the same hymn sheet and fueling a hyper-partisan base.

I generally think that the thread is going in wrong direction. Im not denying freedom of speech to anyone but as far as this was a place to share more complex FA supported by TA it was awesome. For a few weeks now we have been just getting drowned in an confusing amount of various posts far beyond proper FA. Maybe would be great if some could think twice if this is the proper thread to post. There are definitelly better ones for micro technical trading.

Eventually I think you figure out its not the conversation you dont want to have thats the problem in a public forum. Its the public forum thats the problem for the conservation you do want to have.
Its always going to be rich with tangents, digression, and outright distraction. And there will never be any real level of control over the course it takes. Thats the way of it. Use ignore to filter it, roll with it, those are the options without an alternative venue of some kind.
I think only people with red things next to their name can start threads. Know anyone?

yeah it ate my little counter stops. i am on the sideline this close to 1.1115 eu. Lm 1.1044/45 (maybe some struggle here atm b4 higher ).. that setup from norm 1.0585 was for 1.1316 target.. that and ej 129.64 are about even in pips. i may be looking to long eu with this new HH back at 1.10930 like the weekend post said. smaller setups will be by ear.

In Spain, Podemos, a far left populist political party is going to present a motion of censure against President Mariano Rajoy. They have not given a precise date but it's expected to be next month. They don't have enought votes right now for winning it but it can add pressure to the government and smells like they will not end the 4 year cicle because they are selling the house each time they need to pass anything through congress because of the agreements. Spain is a country that is used to be governed with absolute majority.

It's curious how Podemos, a party that always talks about the benefits of governing with agreements is so unhappy with the current situation, maybe they only like agreements made by them...

{quote}To wrap it up, a instrument that fly 7% in a 5 minute bar every second day is EXACTLY the opposite an instrument for evaluating risk. The wild and largest moves in BTC over Gold actually confirm this rather than making BTC a good benchmark for risk. sisse .

Imo you are putting the cart before the horse.

USD is only better because it is a mature market where rich are rich and poor are poor... btc on the other side of the coin attracts both rich and poor, skewing everything.

In terms of platinum, why doesn't that take golds place? I think you are forgetting that gold has a huge network effect, any element could in theory have the same one.. technically... but gold stuck; people are not understanding how much of a big deal first movers are in relation to network effects.

Game theory.. maybe the FED will change their policies based on bitcoins success?

Also in spirit of keeping things on the same path, here is my gold trade with first target at 1352.15
