definitely trade more. at 300k i think i i would have enough margin for 100 lot ($1000/pip) . I mean, pulling $15k-$20k a day?...shit..that thought just gave me mental orgasm...

I'm curious when (edited out if!) you do get to that point, if Oanda will shut you down. I've heard of that happening before.

i don't think oanda will shut me down. right now they're paying me a monthly rebate based on my trading volume. The WANT me to trade. no sense of shutting down your source of income (i.e spreads). we'll see what happens

I spoke with my Oanda account rep yesterday and he said they are trying to get rid of the rebate program because it is a manual process on their end at the end of every month. I was able to negotiate a reduction on my spread when that happens. You may want to check it out if they pull your rebates. It may benefit you more with your trading style. Or do what I am doing and switch to Interactive Brokers. You will save loads with their low costs. Only difference is I dont like their platform compared to Oanda's. Just have to get used to it i guess.

but switch to IB? you got 10 mil i can borrow? and i agree, i hate their platform. too messy

IB's minimum is only $10,000 I just set up my account, but am paper trading with it for now until I feel confident enough with TWS.

I trade futures & equities with IB but not forex.
Minimum account size for futures/equities is $10K.
Minimum is $10 million to trade forex if in the US.

***Platform is poor so I use ninjatrader connected to IB account for scalping.

thats what i like to see

the way i see it is that a 20 pip SL is just as likely to be stopped as a 5 (or <10) in the current conditions - so nice entry
