Disliked{quote} I think the Senator and Carlton had the same chassis, a slightly different outer skin and a bit more 'luxury' inside for the Senator. Plus I'm not sure that the 3-litre 6-cyl was available in a Carlton .... however Lotus did a twin-turbo version with some chassis tweaks. I haven't looked lately but I heard the price-minimum for the Lotus version was around 15k and then they started to go up in value!Ignored
Disliked{quote} Whatever has happened to the child is very sad without question. My first thoughts when this happened were "What the hell were the parents thinking leaving kids that age alone". I still think that. There is no way I would ever have left my kids to sit in a restaurant across the street. Anyone that says to me "that is harsh", I say crap. The proof is in what happened, they (the parents) were clearly too far away to notice or hear that there was a problem. Some say but they are suffering and have regrets about that. I say you can't take chances...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I replied to DrManhatten's post where it said: "The problem with Post Modern theories is that if there is no universal Truth, how can anyone objectively criticize human acts such as the Holocaust, slavery, forced female genital mutilation?" Which of course implies that there must be a universal truth if we are to objectively judge. ...hope it is clear now how this came up initially. Does God have a role in morality, depends if he exists or not, and anyone claiming perfect knowledge on that topic is talking shit.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I totally agree. It's like putting your kids in the car with no seat belts. Most of the time nothing will happen, but if it does, it is your fault. So you never ever take the risk.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Well, I think most decent people would agree that hurting others is pretty damn immoral.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Now I'm lost. What has God got to do with morality got to do with Madeleine McCann?Ignored

DislikedOn the mention here of FGM, I want to ask, why is FGM wrong, but circumcising baby boys ok? It is still mutilating another human without consent. (I watched a circumcision operation on TV last night, on a grown man)

Disliked{quote} Good post. I don't know much about post modernism. My only comment is that in the absence of any god, there really can't be absolute truth on issues such as morality, can there?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Even dogs know that hurting others is wrong. So why do so many people need the God rules? Funny thing is every God has a different set of rules. Then people fight over the right and wrongs of those rules. Without religion, most of the wars in history would not have happened. Where was God and morality in that?Ignored
DislikedIs it that simple to blame man's conflicts as being God related as the root of those conflicts? .Ignored
