1.0839 held, no shorts are safe at the moment. A test of weekly open is next in my opinion.

While we are rumour mongering, this goes out to all you gap traders. There is no gap. There is only a gap in your broker feed. It sometimes varies from broker to broker. Sometimes your gap will be filled, often it will be filled, but it is not a reliable trade. The gap is caused by trades over the weekend and is typically caused by large trades during times of low liquidity. Your broker will not register the hourly prices for the weekend, hence your gap. Perhaps you would like to go back and check for previous gaps which have taken weeks, months or even years to fill. Then you will know what I know.

Never encountered a gap so monsterious. Going to just observe today and learn what gauge what the market is trying to do. I do agree with a few people that a retest of 1.09 is probably likely gonna happen sooner or later

EURUSD H4 Chart Update

The chart speaks for itself. Everything red is resistance and green is support.

Since we have massive gap on weekly opening, the odds are the previous breakout levels might get retested. Nearest (and maybe deepest) retest area for now is 1.08.

On the upside nearest target sits at 1.0980 level (but it can go higher towards 1.1120 which is my overall limit).

I don't understand the market's complacence about the French election (first round) results. This seems to make a Le Pen victory more likely on May 7, and I would expect a 'risk-off' attitude up until the event and then an unwinding(buy the rumour, sell the news). So that would mean Euro down, gold up, instead I see the opposite. While gold is due for a pullback, the USD should have benefited. Please don't tell me that the market is going to be fooled by polls a third time?
