A huge gap up, Eur/Usd has skyrocketed above 1.09 level, even though it has dropped back to 1.087, but the gap still intact, focus stay on second round French election.

that was anglo-saxon stuff. this is continental european stuff (like the dutch). the majority of the french people is non-racist - like any other european nation.

will bet again on the most likely outcome in the second round...

Once again markets have no idea and the reaction to this French outcome is astonishing.

Macron and Le Pen have beat the establishment in first round votes.
That should be worrying and not positive for the Euro.

Macron is wet behind the ears and has no real experience .. so lets buy euro because that sounds positive.

Le Pen is hard right and she wants to exit euro .. so lets buy euro because that sounds positive.

The other point was this outcome Macron and Le Pen were the same pair last Friday to win the first round battle with pretty much the same margin .

There was no special outcome .

No one has won the presidential election yet .

The only thing I can see here is the market has gone for stops on a thin Monday and used this for an excuse .

Actually, if you looked into how states voted Trump did win the popular vote except for socialist California..where they counted a lot of antiTrump votes..
Makes sense to have the voting system they have so one big state won't influence the election too much.
