Indicators can't attach to a chart

I think it happened to me once and then things got working again when I recompiled the mql4 file..

I tried all ways and fails. Only work internal indicators but all indicators compiled don't attach. Even strategy tester fails

Let us try something else then.. How many MT4 instances do you run?
I am thinking something is messed up in "C:\Users\world\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal"
You can try to copy and paste a new instance MT4 and then paste your mql4 and ex4 into the new AppData termianl MQL4 directory and try again!

I only have one. I checked you told me but it's all right. Even new instance have same problem...

Without circle thing on Icon i can Attach indicator. But With the circle i cant attach my indicator to chart. What's That mean?
Waste updated my Win 10 for this kind issue . Or should i setting something on Meta 4?

Was modifying/debugging an indicator that I downloaded off the Internet now and I added a bad "#property" directive since the indicator was not doing what it was supposed to do, so it didn't attach after it compiled "successfully"!!!

I went back and commented the line an recompiled then it attached.. Still doesn't do its task but it attaches now..

I thought I would provide this hint.. It may help..

The yellow circle means that the MQL4 source code is present in the indicators folder.. Try to compile the code and try again...

It's w10 anniversary issue in some systems. I recovered previous and worked fine. Only works inbuilt indicators. But compiled don't works

Yes its happened to me too. It happened just after windows 10 update. Like other here cannot attach certain indicators to chat. Any solution guys.
Just to give a hint, You are probably trying to install old indicators coded before the previous the Mt4 600 update.
these indicators do not work in current version of Mt4, and not even work to compile the mq4 file,
I have noticed that if you install the ex4 instead then they usually works.
otherwice, if you don't have the original ex4, you must search for it or ask a coder to update the mq4 file to the current build.

By default the editor saves the files on the experts folder, I Just change the file directly in the MetaQuotes Language Editor from experts to downloads and compile them again. work like a charm... some time also helps to restart your MT4 ones all file had been compiled. Hope it helps

I know this tread died a long time ago but were the issues ever resolved..?

I had a Windows update yesterday on my desktop that screwed up all my MT4-terminals and the experts/indicators there. I'm not sure if it depends on new security codes in Windows or old MT4-files.
