Please, can anyone be kind enough to share his/her most recent or good indicators: TDI, Heiken Ashi candles, and any additional to keep my trade simple.

Trading Made Simple.....

For me.... :
#1 - Get rid of the graphs.... (I Hate them).
#2 - K.I.S.S - 2 correlated pairs (AUD/USD , NZD/USD) and 1 negative correlation pair (USD/CHF).
#3 - I tend to just watch the 3 pairs.... to see who is doing what.... to base my trade.

The actual method is quite basic, so, I'm not sure if I'm short-changing (pardon the pun) myself.
The Method:

I place whichever trade I deem worthy ( 3 points under the current Buy). Sometimes they trade and keep dropping, sometimes they go up and never look back.
When they do trade, which is typically the PM. If the position gets into the GREEN to my liking is when I set my STOP and my LIMIT. This way I guarantee a positive close on my position.

Would appreciate any feedback to this method to help me tweak my Method.

If you reverse what he did and start from where he originally started from with those systems/indicators, you will benefit like him when he first started as a newbie in trading. Back to "square one", start the way he did and learn from scratch like him. I did that and it has been more than 10 years since.

Back-testing Expert Advisor EA

Hi Folks,

just to reply several PMs this week on how to back-test and how to program an EA for back-testing.

Here in FF are two EAs which can be used for back-testing.

this one by SteveHopwood is good but the codes are very long.

the one xTDI by Spyder is good too.

You need to define your entry and exit conditions, and code them in modules which you can add to the 2 EAs in the above threads.
1) if you use the TDI cross for entry and the TDI cross in the opposite for exit,
2) if you use the TDI Moderate mode for filter,
3) if you use the PAC for setup candle,
4) if you use the HA candle change colour for exit,
5) your condition for trend determination,
... any other filters you use.

Also you need to include the following :-

1) the trade count, i.e. counters for counting the number of buy and sell trades, the winning trades, etc.
2) the pips count for every trade from entry to exit for buy trade, sell trades,
3) day and time of entry and exit,
...

I did some back testing last weekend over a three month of 11 Jan to 11 April 2017 on H1 and H4 on a few pairs using a combination of entry and exit criteria.

I used 24 different entry criteria and 9 exit criteria giving 216 tests. Some interesting results. This is what I found. Please see attached files.

Edit. In my rules table the true false indicates what is being tested not the descriptions.

Has anyone got an up to date version of the template I could have please?

Ma's E said - keep it simple, original template works great, updates have come through from a few members with more technical sides to them, depends what you're after but all in paper clip area. I've adjusted mine to include the 00 lines and bar counter, few other minor changes but works a treat.

At the time I started trading , I came across Xman thread , there were Phx62 and Dee50, and other super trader, that knows what to do, and have reached there goal long before I started trading , I was fascinated by Phx62 style and clarity , simplicity , using TMS strategy and Price Action, but was not my time to be a trader, as it needed lot of works , hard work to find ground, so I started studying Phx62 and Big E books, but then went in depth to study Phx62 books that he shared and a generous trader here with us complied those PDFs for us, we were lucky enough to have those books , but that was only a guidance now how to make those things works takes a lot more than just reading those PDFs

Across the long way I started to add my way of trading and take the help of Phx62 PDFs to guide me, I have made very slow progress in the first 3 years, but keep trying thats all I got, and kept reading phx62 books every single day, now I almost memories those PDFs that I can remember every word he wrote and almost every trade he took that was added to those books, there were lots of traders that were newbies at the time that asked him about his trades , those answers made a big difference in understanding how Phx62 trades , small experiences add here and there to helps one navigate through the market , with time I started to be able to almost connect with Phx62 trades as they were installed into my subconsciousness mind, I slowly was able to open trades the way he did, but not with the expertise he had, so that will take longer but is reachable , as long as one keep trying , failure has no meaning in life, how the future will look, that also dont mean a thing at this time.

I am quoting this part off Market Wizards book , its the first thing u read in that book
