OK I got that the first entry is not velid as long as WHITE 1>YELLOW 1 but the second entry on my chart is clearly velid. lines don't cross, the white lines clearly inside yellow lines on my chart.
These violent delights have violent ends.

trend->notrend->trend is entries
nothing ->notrend this isn't a entry,we should wait for nothing become trend then ->notrend.

The first one W1 is above Y1 - thus "No-Trend" rule of W1&W2 must be within Y1and Y2 is negated. No Entry.
The second one - a "No-Trend" trade is following another "No-Trend" trade - thus the "Trend-No_Trend-Trend" sequence rule is broken. No Entry.
LiunLiun- correct me if I am wrong.

If you think about it the 2nd trade is a "W" pattern's 2nd bottom. This system (somehow using displaced bands ) avoids entering a trade in the wrong direction. I am taking some liberties here in putting this theory out. This is my own understanding not the author's.

Hey Chris, Not sure if you are still following the thread. What Liun means is (as far as I can understand) we take entries when the market is

1. In trend
2. In "No Trend"

When the market is in "Nothing" we do not take any trades.

Also when market changes from Nothing to No-Trend, we do NOT take trades based on No-Trend rules. We wait until Nothing becomes a Trend and then in the next No-trend phase we can take the entries.

We only take trades when the market is in the cycle of Trend>No-Trend>Trend>No-Trend .......

Is that clear now?

I think " majasan's" reply above will also help you to understand
