EU will make a run for 1.05. Even if she has fewer votes but strong support, investors will immediately worry about a Trump-style victory by a candidate who is anti-immigration and has called for an EU referendum within 6 months of her victory. The path of least resistance for the euro should be lower this coming week, ahead of the French election

I agree with you, the current trade I am holding I'd like to close in the 1.05 handle. I'd also like to buy, but there's absolutely no reason to before the elections in my opinion. Keeping in mind I swing trade via a fundamental outlook....it seems this thread is mostly technical trading, so I don't want to be misread.

in 'pick a side mode' long dollar across all or long EU for longer term (trading both is always profitable), tricky one for me, trump wants weaker dollar, as we saw last week, if numbers start to roll into red for USD then fed will have some thinking about hikes i suspect. however, hiking another 2/3 times brings their IR to 1.5/1.75, carry trade becomes more and more profitable and other large money hits the USD for better ROI. sending USD north

charts wise i am playing it that way for longer term, (looking more for shorts than long, but not disregarding longs) i messaged someone regarding a new low in euro and posted chart in here, the level was 1.0563 +spread ill try a long for 1.0675/733 and 1.0860. anything lower is at 1.0538/23 and plays into the next untested demand area, it may get stickier and new levels appear... its better when the highs and lows are out on their own for some time, shorts wise im looking at 1.0756 for a run into 1.040x, it isn't part of 1.007 or 0.986x... that may only need 1.0705/1.0760 for a nice RR trade, anything higher and im looking at shorts at 1.0930 and 1.1184/1.123x, it may be months off, things will be bullish to most and most will be drowned by their shorts or be heavy in longs and adding, i cant tell this far away, most of the time its when things reverse... those higher numbers are part of 0.98/1.007, they are monthly holds... if by then the US has interest at 1.5 and ECB hasn't raised, the carry trade would be significant into the TP, it may make sense to some, most it won't. sorry for long reply, in times of consolidation, there are a lot of numbers, UCAD and UJ produce less... UCAD gave my last longest trade... some 500, the number i posted for UC was/is the same as 1.0539 on EU... the situation is not identical, but it never will be, the pairs are different.

i am seeing uptrend on Elliot wave and other indicators using 1D and Weekly that shows 11.10++, are you still seeing the same thing for wave 5?

laugh all you want, Suthmo called it right several times in the past. As much as some people might disagree,from my own analysis I see this going long. Of course, their will be retraces and rebounds along the way, I am looking out a ways and not intraday focussed.
