Thanks. I was opening at 7 GMT and had decent results. Thought I would try 11 GMT. I am still experimenting with different settings to see what works the best. I have not tried 9 GMT yet. May give it a shot next week.

I am running a simulation model similar to what smoothtrader is running. It is based on M1 bars only, so it is just a rough estimate and some of my data has gaps here and there, so take it as just an estimate. It is also setup to have individual pair SL and TP work along with basket SL and TP (so one may trigger before the other and vice versa).

Noob question again:
If i dont have MT4 opened and the basket reach the limit of 500 pips or -200 will the trades close or still runing?

We are all noobs until we are told or learn something Dude We have two eyes, two ears and one mouth. Perfect proportions for their usage. ask and listen/see.

I think they will be in stasis in sub space until you fire mt4 back up again. Then the EA should continue calculating. If the basket is still above 500 it will TP. If it is below but not below -200 it will just carry on. Again if when you fire mt4 back up it below -200 it will shut.

That is my considered proffessional opinion, guess

It may just be BS;. Depends on Father Xmess's coding. And wether he has put in enough spaces or not

As Easter is coming tomorrow and Monday I will stay out of market, I am posting the results so far for this week daily basket.
Note that the peak time is GMT +3 (my local time).

Yes, but this week was a good week as you see...intresting is how all other settings will behave when false false will be negative..i want to test if other settings are a saver somehow, or if original false false is down, all are down..

Daily update. Closed basket manually with 43 pips profit. I experimented with several different settings this week. Overall, had a down week. I won't trade tomorrow due to the holiday. Results so far:

Mon 41
Tue 166
Wed -300
Thr 43

Total for this week -50
Previous week 600

Total 550 for 2 weeks

The last 2 days I have not used the profit lock. Had I used it, I would have been at about 450 pips on the positive side and around 1050 for the 2 week total. Again, I am testing different settings every day. Next week, I will probably open 2 baskets. One for weekly and keep doing the daily. I like the results I have been seeing with the weekly and like the results I am getting with the daily. To be able to pocket over 1000 pips in a couple weeks or less, is simply amazing. I have struggled in the past to get a couple hundred in a month. I will keep testing until I feel that I can achieve these results consistently or at least for a modest profit. I'm not greedy, I could make a great living off of 1000 pips a month.

Used SmoothTrader's Workbook back tester to run some backtests based on Agagukalex's daily open of the CCFp weekly strategy..This backtest is for January 2012 and February 2012..Will run more backtests and share results for further analysis..NB: No take profit was assigned to the baskets , basket was closed at 23:00GMT.

This is how I run the daily entry of the basket backtest in SmoothTrader's Workbook. Click on the black box "GENERATE OUTPUT FOR THIS TIMEPERIOD ONLY" after you have entered the Date and Time you want to run backtest for and wait for results.

I am running without TP or SL to see what ranges can the basket take in order to find best combination for TP/SL.
The 'Final P/L" values is the pip gain when I closed the basket each evening when coming home from work, it's not a fixed hour, differs every day, but the hours are between 15-18:00 GMT anyway.

Now is up to you, for ex here someone is testing with TP 200 and SL 300 and seemed ok.
The question is how much DD your account (and your mental state) can take, can you take a -600 DD and hope for reversal, or stay safe and use SL 100 and think if it's gone -100 against you better try next day.
As seen from my data, when the week is good, we can have tiny DD of -40 ( i think -10 or -15 is just the spread) with profits of 300+.

Last Friday I had 5 baskets opened at different hours and ended in +2500 pips, but if I had a SL of -100 I would be -500. But again, I could have very well been at -2500 in the evening that day so..

If we are all testing and posting we will be better every week with this strategy.

"If we are all testing and posting we will be better every week with this strategy" .I totally agree with you...As aspiring and professional traders , I suggest that we always adjust the number of lots we trade (position size) to meet the stop loss distance that gives our trade the best chance of profiting. NEVER adjust your stop loss to meet a desired position size, this is GREED.The biggest point to remember is that you NEVER adjust your stop loss to meet your desired position size; instead you ALWAYS adjust your position size to meet your pre-defined risk and logical stop loss placement. This is VERY IMPORTANT-NIAL FULLER.

You see , even with a lot size of 0.01 , you can be -1000pips in drawdown and only $100 of your account will be at risk.With a lot size of 0.001 , you can be -1000pips in drawdown and only $10 of your account will be at risk....Thats the power of position sizing and proper money management.

good,..thx for your info,.im testing,.false,..false,...open 11gmt monday,..sl,.500,..no take profit,.trailing 350,..300,..i was stoped out wensday night with +175 pips profit
