Ah, of course the pairs listed are from the time the images were taken not the time the EA activated so forget my previous post

Although having said that, why would the CCFp-Diff show such markedly different strengths if nothing has been changed on the two accounts?

For those that are using v34 please re-download it. I didn't change the version number but it has updates.

I recommend it cause it fixes the issue some of you are having with the EA not doing certain things.
Even if you don't have any issues, get it. Cause eventually you will see the issues.

You will need to manually reset the globals, just this one time, after that you can use the Reset Globals button.

If you already have an open basket then just delete the following globals:
xm7_DstChk
xm7_LocalGMToffSet
xm7_BrokerGMToffSet
BrokerFridayGMTCloseHour

Make sure to use the exact same magic number you used to open your basket before, when you load v34.

Hi xmess7,

I assume the CCFp-Diff code is secret? I havent had an answer to getting the source so that we can evaluate the algorithm. I thought that the thread was intended to examine the system completely, not just for profit optimization. I was hoping that we could all work together to experiment in evaluation of the signals and how they are determined, not just massive exercises in forward testing a black box algo.

Anyway, let me know if its secret, then I will understand what the roll of participants here is, that is forward testing a system.

Please, I mean no disrespect. I am a relatively new person regarding posting on forums here. So, I am really not aware of rules, and what is proper in asking of things.

have a look at my attached chart and tell me where the secret is Lol, this is one of the pairs that were predicted to be in a sell, its a daily candle, not saying they are all perfect signals, for me the secret is in the average of them all put together, would also help if you read the whole thread, you will see i posted an example before
just my take on things as i see them

I have made a script that has the same function as in the EA. This function is what collects and adds up the pips.
Make sure to use the same magic number.
Run it on a separate chart and show me what you get for each broker. Lets see if this number is the same as what is displayed on the chart.

I did read the thread in the beginning, ForexPinBar was in the beginning was interested in knowing if the method was sound more than just coding an automated trading EA (if memory serves).

I am sorry to be blunt but to properly evaluate a system, I would need to know the logic codes in signal generation. Just because a sell signal agrees with your daily bar analysis doesn't mean that the signal generator is based on good and sound logic.

Ok, so I am stating this. If we are here to just test a black box system, fine, let me know. If we are here to put our heads together to figure out how the signal generator works, such that we can understand how to improve it or use it better, that would be better. That's just my opinion.

Anyway, I dont think my request is off base. I am not asking for the EA for the trade automation. I am asking only for the source codes for the trade signal generation. Otherwise we are all just black box testers and frankly that really doesnt improve my understanding of how to trade forex. But hay, that's just me.

I am not the originator of the CCFp-Diff indicator. I just developed the EA that uses that indicator. The code is available but as was pointed out it was decompiled illegally. PM me and I'll give you more info..

Just to clarify, when I am done with the EA, that is that the EA works properly, I plan to release the source code under the open source license.
We are soooooo close.... cause once I release the code, I become a trader LOL.. and start to make more profit LOL..

in black box is weekly trend,if you know logic you cant tell witch parameter are best.for example you dont know what works better 20 sma or 50 ema

I have no idea what you are saying, nor do I have a clue of what you are arguing goal is. Are you stating that there is no sense in knowing what the black box is? that we should just accept it for what it is, and test it without knowing? Simply put, in my mind (please, no insult intended), your argument is complete madness. If your are trying to build an argument around the fatalistic idea that there is no point in trying to discover the soundness of an algorithm, for its predictive power, then frankly, i have no idea why anyone here is investing time in learning how to trade.

Simply put, if you win the argument you are stating, the whole exercise if pointless. That certainly is not a pretty picture. Frankly, I have more hope than that.

I have no idea why you are the 2nd person to literally condemn my journey for understanding. Its almost like both of you are against the idea of improvements of understanding.

We are really close. The problem is on my part. I am involved in a couple of projects, two that are very lucrative and take alot of my time.
So when I come to fix this project I mess up LOL.

For example with the new TargetPercentProfit I realized that I had the logic backward!!!

I had the EA looking to close the basket if the (Basket % gain) < TargetPercentProfit !!!

As long as you had TargetProfitPercent=0 no problem cause the EA would not test the % profit. But
Once you turned it on... the basket should of closed immediately if your % profit was less than the TargetPercentProfit. Which of course, is totally incorrect LOL.

If you haven't already done it , please re-download v34.... it has that and a GMT calculation bug that depending on the machine u are on makes the EA SLLOOWOWOWOW.

Funny you should mention TargetProfitPercent.....that happened to me this morning. I've done a little coding so I totally understand

if you look on weekly chart you can see signals by eyes,you dont need ccfp indicator it is only for automation if you change parameters in it there will be no big differance.

Ok I see what you are saying.

I just am saying it would be beneficial to know the math behind the logic, so we could improve it , if we are truly going to rely on it to trade real money.

If I was risking thousands on an algorithm, I certainly would want to know the logic behind the trades, since the algo is relying on my math, not my eyes.

But I hear what you are saying, which, is the signal is derived from a weekly chart. Ok, that is one step towards the goal of knowing what the formula is.
