Hi thanks for your reply. I assume that the expert trademonitor takes the trades that are registered by the indicator. I have the indicator running and the trademonitor but the trademonitor did not take the trades selected by the indicator. I must do something wrong but what??? Thanks

Hello all..I am a huge fan of compound interest..This is a 5 year plan compound interest calculator that might be useful to some of us to help us set yearly targets and become millionaire traders in the future with a profitable and consistent strategy...Green pips .

Lol. Yes compound interest is a really wonderfull thing ain't it Forexpinbar

I have a spreadsheet that illustrates it quite beautifully Dude. I think by the time one reaches around stage 50, one will own the entire planet and everything on it and probably a large chunk of the Solar System as well

wow wow wow This is very nice projections but how you manage your trades to acomplish that ... ??? i am asking because i am not that experienced in that kind of calculations please !!

Unfortunely not and my problem is why not. I see everyone trade with succes but not myself. It didn.t pick up the trades selected by the indicator. I have checked the expert advisor and set the options ok, as set showed in this thread. But not working. I am happy that you will help me. Thanks for that

Have you checked the global variables and tried reloading berrypop?

Yes agagukalex..Compound interest is very powerful one of the powerful forces in the world..This is what it means.If for instance , you start trading with $1000 and able to make not less than 25% profit=$250 consistently every month , you can make $652,520,446.80 million dollars in 5 years.It is just as simple as that..Even better if you can make 25% return or more consistently every month. I presume one can only achieve this with a very consistent strategy with proven track record..t..

I think with this method and continuous lot adjustments, a 10% monthly return is very good! You can be making $250,000 a year before year 5. The key is MM though and to be consistent and never go above and beyond to "score big".

Well if you want to see them press F3 in the window that the Trade Monitor is running in. Although in v33 you have the button to reset/clear them. Well I assume it clears them.

Ouch! What time did you kick your basket off Bud???? Maybe you need a larger SL figure to give it more breathing room???

I started mine at 09AM BST and I think I was 578 pips up by lunchtime ish. I wish I had TP'd it then Bud Today it has gone to -270 pips at one point although now crawling it's way back past +250 pips. I still don't have a SL or TP on it atm though. Although will set at least a SL this evening when I knock off.

hey Berrypop:

First lets take a look at your options setup. Make sure that all the EA options are selected properly. You check this in two places, under Tools==>options and on the common tab of the Inputs window.

Here is an example that displays the Tools==>options portion

The most interesting thing about your problem is that the only way you can get the message
"ProfitLock will set when pip Gain > 20"
is if the EA actually open trades. But you say you haven't. check your history tab, I am fairly sure that trades were taken.

I think this is what may of happened. Since you selected to start the profitlock at 20 pips the locked profit would be
at 10 pips. So the EA opens the basket and when the basket hits 20 pips profit the EA then sets the lock at 10 pips (half of the 20 pips).
So guess what? The basket goes down and hits the lock at +10 and closes all the trades. That also explains
why we see 1.14% you gain for the Day. Otherwise if there were not trades that value would be 0%


So try this. Click on Reset Globals. reload the EA but this time set the StartProfitLockAt=100 and set TrailingLockEvery=50.
With this setup the EA will start locking the profit when the basket reaches 100 pips. It will lock it at 50% of the pip count at that moment.
then every time that the basket moves 50 more pips it will continue to move the lock up.
So as already explained before this is the sequence of profit lock.
Basket: Lock at:
100 pips 50 pips
150 pips 75 pips
200 pips 100 pips
250 pips 125 pips
300 pips 150 pips

Looks like I am going to have to put a warning that is displayed when someone tries to use a value that is lower than 100 pips.. They will still be able to use the value but it will alert them that the basket may be closed immediately.

Good, I was going to ask if anyone still has their basket open. By any chance did u active the Log_MaxMin_PipCounts? If so could you show us the chart or just send the csv over, I can display the chart for you. I am curious to see what the pattern looks like.

Welll for myself , i been stopped out at -300 with the way i trade it .... i am all set for tomorrow at 10 gmt ... i realised that 8 or 9 gmt is to choppy . After a week trading at 8 and 9 gmt , i always been late sometimes by a big lot of pips compared to Thedenus that is trading at 9 gmt or 30 minutes after the london session news ...
Sometime for 30 minutes differences on the open we had 150 pips difference
