I caaaaarefuly started to build shorts and longs across the board.
See if they pull tomorrow.

I still see no legs on the bulls , price actions are very close to the gap, when pa propels faraway from the gap then we can say it would take much longer to fill the gap, today's pa indicate the gap most likely be filled by EOBD.. "End of Business Day"

EURUSD hits 1.0882 highest since mid-November & reached to weekly resistance

Took a break and missed the move from 1.08750 to to 1.09050. Came back and decided price is going down. If this isn't the best damn timed entry I've ever made, I don't know what is. Right on the top of the candle. Whether or not my predictions are correct is yet to be seen. But either way, I'm pretty much at zero risk on this trade because of my timing.

well you have entered at the top of a 5 minute candle... could be reverse within the next 5 mins... i wouldn't be angry if it is... you need to zoom out of that timeframe, you will FOREVER get brunt in it if you dont master the higher TF's first... the smaller timeframes ARE NOT THE SAME AND ARE MUCH HARDER TO TRADE

Well if it goes against me, I won't be upset because I already eliminated my risk by moving my SL to break even (now it's a little bit beyond BE so guaranteed no risk). So far today I've actually been doing far better with this strategy than any other strategy I've tried. I'm aware that shorter time frames are less predictable and generally harder. But I struggle hard with longer time frames. With shorter time frames, I've been able to move my SL to break even a lot more often, which negates a lot of my losses. Plus so far this trade is going pretty well. Looking like it will break 1.08750. And if that happens, my target is very likely to be hit.

I completely get what you're saying and fully agree that 90% of new traders should stay away from the shorter time frames. But I think in my case, I'm better off on the shorter time frames.

so now you have found a srategy, use it for the week, and backtest for the whole year, note down your loses, how they happen, and then see a pattern with them a filter them out... soon you'll be onto the big boy mula

I find the opposite to be more true. 5m is more predictable with MA's than anything above 4h which is more random unless close to s/r clusters.

The fed might pull the trigger on USD long by saying that interest rates are not determined by trump policy or fiscal policy , according to economic indicators more interest rates are lined up for 2017 , the next one is likely around the corner . Already the market is shorting in expectation to that

nice job and congrats on catching that move.
they usually go back and retest. i'm sure you can figure out what you have to do, if they take it up.
if not then hope it works out and enjoy the ride.

Not sure what you mean by go back and retest.

I know 1.08750 is a s/r zone. I moved my stop to take a reasonable profit (slightly above 1:1 rr) after it hit 1.08750. Now I'm just waiting to see if price will continue down to the next s/r zone, or if it will bounce back up. Either way I'm in the profits. One will give me a very nice profit, the other will give me a profit I can live with. So far it looks like we're staying below 1.08750. So I think price is going to continue down to 1.085.

fridays range =58 ish, 58/2 = 29, 29+58 = 87, 87 from friday high... bada boom bada bing = 1..09053
