For the last week or so I've been too scared to short thinking "it can't possibly go lower", and too scared to buy, thinking "it looks super bearish".

Right now, there's no support in sight until 106 from the looks of things. I'm just wondering where people are getting 109 and what is the significance? I got that 112 was a major support point, but I didn't understand where people's idea of a buy at 111 or 110 came from, and equally I don't understand why some people are saying 109.

Would anyone care to elaborate?

I can't say it is impossible, but i see a triangle between 118 and 105.
Don't expect to resolve further direction so fast.
Any dips below or above this triangle is a perfect points to buy and sell.
For now, we have a massive bottom and empty top - i suppose the top will be traded soon.

Are you talking about a 100% sure of the where bottom is placed? No one knows. It just a good place to ignite jump to the 118. The next good point placed @105, then 99... 93, 84 and so on.. If you can read the graph of course....

Fair enough but as a new trader it's not very inviting expecting to be shot down so savagely if you say the wrong thing. Like your either men making money and thats cool but you all sounds like the female dog when you snarl at each other. Just a comment don't take my head off.

So, here we are..Just above the 'money shot headline' at 110 and flirting with it - with target about 20 odd pips lower..We were always going to visit this zone.

Many shorts will be unwinding into this take profit zone and if I was looking to buy this pair I'd phase them in within the 109.80 - 110 range..Its a MAJOR liquidity zone and its taken nearly three months to get here since the short triggered after New Year.

I shan't bother posting charts as I've done that and the target is is clearly highlighted.

I think the pair might rebound from 110.10 due to the spinning top bars on the H4 time frame and the RSI divergence that has formed on the same time frame. I am considering opening long positions.

Be weary shorting around 110. In the past the BOJ has hinted at intervening at this level. Not sure if this is still in the cards or not, but its something to keep in mind.

Usd/Jpy is showing short term momentum indicating a bit higher, on the downside 110.10/00 act as strong support zone.
