Just for visual comparison, here is the CCFp on the W, with MA 0, Price 6, Fast 1, Slow 5. I don't think this works off of the current bar, but it at least gives a general visual idea of CCFp movement

Unfortunately, the only way to do this justice would be to do a comprehensive backtest with the MT5 platform to optimize the Indicator inputs over a much longer time frame (2 to 5 years or more). Since we do not have access to the mq4 file for the indicator, this is impossible. It took me well over 30 hours to compile the weekly signals for a 5 year period with the current settings. To do a rudimentary backtest via Excel by changing five variables with just 2 options each would require about 1,000 hours to complete the weekly signals alone.

This is not meant to discourage the idea, but to put the amount of work required into perspective. If ten individuals were to split the work, it might take a month or more to complete. The nice thing is once my Excel WorkBook is complete, I would only have to combine the Weekly Signal files into it to do some testing and analysis.

If individuals want to begin the process of building a five year database of their Weekly signals based on their parameters for the Indicator into a Weekly Signal Excel spread sheet like mine, I would be more than happy to work with them. The only advice I would also give is to coordinate among yourselves so you aren't duplicating the same Indicator inputs.

What's the format you use for the decimal numbers? If you use the dot to separate decimals you can skip and not read any further but if you use comma to separate decimals, then you have to set column formats when you open the csv file.

When you click on the file and get prompted with the window to set the parameters, at the bottom you will see what seems to be a preview of the output. Actually in that area you can select the columns and for each of them set the type of data they contain, date or text or numbers in US format, choose this last one for the columns that contain numbers.

Frustrating, as the potential is there. I wonder if we should just test on individual pairs in mt4 over many years to help gauge the best CCFp settings. If there is an edge in a single pair that can be replicated across multiple pairs, then perhaps that is something useful to work off of. Might vary per pair, but something simple, like 50 TP and SL for EU. I don't know, perhaps I am way off here because any edge lies in the correlation. However, if we are indeed aiming for large pips TP moves, then that appears to imply that each base currency is moving a certain degree according to the CCFp signal. Or we could commission a mt5 coder, money always works lol.

Without the mq4 file for the Indicator, no reputable MT5 coder would touch it.

That's not correct. The indicator used (CCFp-Diff_[v2.0](1).ex4 ) is based on the CCFp indicator. If you know how the standard CCFp indicator works, you also know how the CCFp-Diff_[v2.0](1).ex4 indicator works. And from the standard CCFp indicator, the documentation and sourcecode is available for everyone to see, here: https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/1472

And this is how I converted the system to MQL5/MT5.

Anyone else having huge pip swings in these first two days? 16 pair basket. min pip is -437 pips, max 529 pips. currently at 79 pips

I would be privileged to be a part of the team but be warned I am still trying to learn how to use Excel in back-test...Willing to do whatever it takes to make this strategy a better and profitable one..Cheers for your hardwork and dedication towards this strategy and this thread...Green pips to you Good Sir.

If I close the expert and the graph and then I load another time the expert in order to start a new cycle, I notice that the results are not resetted.

The expert continues to indicate the Max and Min Week Pip Count.

Is there a way to reset and restart the cycle without waiting for the next week?

I did that table starting from the one Tiivaa did. Getting from the charts the +/- pips if the basket is started at a different time from 8:00 London makes it very likely to do errors. It would be better to have the data in the format he published the first time, have you got them Tiivaa?

If not I can do it starting from what I was preparing on the 5M candles, as said less accurate than what he did.
