My basket has been treading from -400 to -50 Pips for the last two days... But it is part of trading only real way to see if it is a viable method is long term results

This week has been pretty awful. Best I've been up is 153 pips but that didn't last long. Been negative mostly. Currently -372 pips.

Indeed it has been an awful week for this strategy..Currently -400pips..

I understand what you ares saing good analisis,if we take sl 500 tp 500 at 8 o clock then we had 14 winning weeks 10 loosing week and 2 weeks we dont hawe information howe they close no sl tp hit howewer it could be something like plus 2000 pips,LM tests show plus 8000 pips what is great,I will start foward test with 25 pips sl 100 tp x pairs in basket like LM tested

Hi. The strategy is based on a last week's candle (ma measured) already closed Friday, isn't it. Options by Ccfp are bars and Monday (beginning of the week) current data, isn't it.

This is 50 days ATR stop loss for individual currencies in the basket..I noticed this week that eventhough the minimum pip count(highest drawdown) for the week is -442pips , none of the ATR stop loss for individual currency pairs were hit..All trades are still running..I will continue forward testing and share results..

Hi guys,

My first week testing this strategy and I have to admit I was playing around with other dashboards and made a mistake which closed all my trades on this strategy yesterday. I was, at the time, up about 150 pips. During the week it was as high as 250 pips and also into the negatives. It would've been interesting to see how it ended tomorrow morning (6am is NY close in GMT+8 timezone).
Nevermind, I'll try again next week.

I actually had a very good experience with a 500 pip gain and I restarted and then closed off for another 100+ pips on Wednesday which I closed out manually, I was running 2 baskets, one using the standard ccfp indicator and one using the MTF version on Daily + weekly settings.

This does seem to give the EA display panel a hard time but the EA worked well and did what it was supposed to. I open the first basket at 20 minutes past the open and the MTF basket at 30 minutes past the open. I mentioned in an earlier post that the first 20-30 minutes of the london open will quite often set up for moves as traders open positions (especially on Mondays) so that is my logic behind the time to open. I also run the basket at 1000 pips SL against 500 pips TP I think the success rate is good enough to do that but I will continue to experiment with those settings over the coming periods.

happened. My basket started on drawdown and about Tuesday evening close to mid week the basket surged to about 200 pips. I know that we need more data but as I had indicated based on this pattern I would of closed the basket Tuesday nite at +198 pips (6.69%), Right now my basket is down (see image), as the pattern also showed this could happen. Tomorrow we'll see of we get any surge.

Again I will be monitoring this to see if next week we get something similar to what has been seen so far in the last couple of weeks.

To say the truth, even though baskets are down, I would count this week as a success. Think about out if u are only down -5% after the week is over, that is successful cause in the coming weeks we will see profit and it will overshadow this week. Mark my words when we get into a good spell of wins this and other weeks like it will be forgotten, so might as well celebrate, lol.

I totally agree with you Xmess..The fact that this week has been a losing week doesnt mean this strategy is not profitable..We both know that CCFp indicator is a massive pip collector so the profits we will make in the coming weeks will make up for the losses we made this week..One good thing about this strategy is that we dont have to analyse anything to buy or sell which helps avoid analysis paralysis because the signals are provided by the CCFp indicator..The advantage we have is that these are weekly signals which are much more reliable than daily signals and lower time frame signals..I believe we have an edge here..With proper risk management I believe this strategy can make not less than 10,000pips every year..What we need is as much data as possible to brainstorm for optimal stop loss and take profit levels..

I forgot, but it already said previously, the work of Tiivaa graphics are very important.
I did a quick study of the charts, taking into account the impulse that xmess7 had noticed. Conditions with a basket with SL 300 and TP 500, opening Tuesday London 08:00 GMT:
week 2017/01/23 + 500 Pips
week 2017/01/30 + 500 Pips
week 2017/02/06 + 500 Pips
week 2017/02/13 - 300 Pips
week 2017/02/20 + 500 Pips
+1700 Pips
with Trailing Stop 200/100
week 2017/01/23 + 100 Pips
week 2017/01/30 + 500 Pips (check if touched SL)
week 2017/02/06 + 500 Pips
week 2017/02/13 + 100 Pips (check if touched TS)
week 2017/02/20 + 200 Pips
+1400 Pips
or even the opening London 06:00 GMT ...

Yes. Basically my broker is 2 hours ahead of the GMT so when the market opens in Sydney (Asia) it is 12.00 midnight my brokers server time.

Hi Xmess..Been a while..Hope you are doing great..Is it possible to go back in time for instance , 6months back and test this strategy with the stop loss and take profit levels listed in the data here https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...59#post9617159 to verify whether the data is relaible?It would be great if we can go back in time and trade CCFp weekly signals with the stop loss and take profit levels in the past 6months for instance and compare results..We need to focus now on how to optimize this strategy to collect plenty pips and minimize our losses..

The results of these combinations of stop loss and take profit still amazes me but we need to be sure it real and not a fantasy lol by backtesting as many times ad we can then forward test and compare results..By the way , is it possible to calculate the data with stop loss of 50pips and take profit 100pips instead of 25pips stop loss?Because I think 25pips stop loss is quite small and may not give the trade enough room to breathe..It will even be better if you can calculate the stop loss based on 50 days ATR multplier 2 on the daily time frame because I think ATR levels on lower time frames are not very reliable..Thank you.

The results seem too good to be true, but they depend on what Tivaa backtested. Since it was a manual backtest, it is of course subject to errors, but the data show a very good margin at the moment.

A lower RR ratio is hardly ever the solution, I will do it, but not now I'll be away until Sunday. If you want to do, it's very easy. Take the first week for example, Tiivaa registered a max DD of 304 pips and a max PT of 1800 pips. If we say the basket has a 375 pips SL and a 1500 pips TP, it means that the SL was not hit and TP was. Second week, max DD 599 and max PT 244, basket SL 225 pips and TP 900 pips, so the SL got hit and so on. If both could have been hit, you have to check the charts and see which one got hit first.
