If all those order's are sell then:
Entry 1:
Nothing wrong with that entry.
- Look at the distance between red and green
- angle of green is below 4
- green did not go flat, hook or check mark. You got scared and closed the trade.
Entry 2a:
- why enter on bar 3?
Entry 2b
- why enter on bar 3
- green flat
Entry 3
- entered on the 4th candle after the bounce
- right on top of support
you lucky Lady Luck to a smile at you, to walk away from that one
(edit: blue dot will make it a buy - why against the trend?)
Entry 4
- below level 32 (not sure)

I think the reason is below 32,

1-so the mistake in the first trade is that I entered against the trend (counter trend)
so even though price action is bullish engulfing bouncing from support if it's in downtrend I shouldn't take it.

2-I entered a sell trade with the trend but tdi was at the 32 level (risky trade) i havent noticed
aha moment!

Im a week late for this question , but I was too busy with taxdeclaration and buy a new car to be active in reading/ trading .

What was the reason to skip the marked TDI crosses / see them as fake signals wghen they appeared in the EU D1 Chart ?
The second red candle looked good at Daily open IMO, .. just went up but we can t see it before.. Do I miss anything in my view ?

Up to know, it did not occur to me to actually monitor the weekly and monthly resistance and support lines but I shall add that to my list from hence forth and see if its effective for me. Cheers


I agree, I prefer H1 but I was trying out H4 for the past few weeks but it does not really seem to work for me. I could be wrong so I am still refining my techniques.

Yes, on hindsight now I realise the market was trending. But I guess I was too sucked in by the signal to have noticed that it was trading sideways.
Oh, you managed to get in at the right time. Unfortunately, for me I think I entered too late as I just got back from work and by then I guess the momentum was already over.
I do the same thing that you but since I am in Singapore, when I trade here, its usually during the London - NY market which is something Big E avoids based on what I read. Nevertheless, I am trying to see if pips can still be made during these timings. Oh and interestingly, I just added the stoch last week to see if its usefull. Would you be able to share why you dropped it?Thanks and Cheers!

Thanks for the pointers, I will add them to my checklist of points to take note of before entering a trade. Oh I didnt now that he removed the blue bands. When you mean use the yellow MBL as an additional pointer, do you mean to say for instance if the red crosses below the yellow MBL, it is a an indication of that market is trending down?

Noted on GBP/JPY. Luckily, I am still on demo. Regarding "Triple Screen Trading Systems by Dr. Alexander Elder" I shall look out for him when he comes. I am from Singapore anyway so thats convenient. Thanks for your inputs.


I agree, hindsight is definitely no good but at least now I know where it went wrong and the importance of looking at H1 and Daily.
You are right, I think I entered to late, but at that point of time, I thought the momentum will continue, and I was entering by the 2nd candle which was what Big E advocates but I guess I was too late for the party.

Another question...when we do multitimeframe analysis,which are the best combination between timeframe? 1:4 example h4-h1, 1:5 example weekly-daily etc.etc.

I know that you will do triple time frame analysis when you do H4 trade or D1 trade. How about H1 trade? My understanding is that it is mainly dependant on PASR/TDI/5EMA/ ... in H1 Timeframe. And you will not care about H4/D1 trend much.

Hi wildcard, I dropped the Stoch only after studying a lot of old charts. My understanding was that it was to be used as a confirmation of trade direction only. However I used to use it as one of my confirmation signals with other strategies so when I tried to apply it as a direction indicator only, it added confusion - especially when it stayed below or above the 80/20.

Attached are the four trades I made last night;

EG - 6 pips
AJ - 7 pips
AU +31 pips
GU +48 pips
Net gain 66 pips.

the bar marked with a white v is your signal bar. it's a big bar or called by others a wide range bar. (WRB) their characteristics are in general high momentum with action taken to buy or sell following low-high close if it's being used as a sig bar.
if the low-high wick is modestly large it's a sign of buyers-sellers backing off and it's best to wait for that close.
eelfanz mentioned staying away from them because they require a large stop.

my tdi green line is down but not yet crossed below the red one.

stoch line is dotted green line on tdi chart which is up at sig bar, giving no conformation with tdi.

three pretty good reasons not to take the trade.
