I'm talking about making a real living from trading, over many years!
totally agree: to make a living from trading, there are maybe 1 / 10.000.

i guess, everybody started trading as a part time job with more or less knowledge.

I agree. In order to live on trading income alone one needs to be exceptional, not just good. That said, if you’re “just” good you can still earn some nice additional income.

what defines an exceptional from a good trader in your opinion? they both are consistently profitable in the markets i guess? Anyone who has an edge / big enough capital can make a living from trading.

in profit in forex trading depends on science which have, with the knowledge that the maximum would have been able to consistently get the profit. For it to do to continue to do in learning step by step to be able to consistently profit obtained

If you want to make money with FOREX, become a Broker (A bit complex) or a more realistic approach, become an affiliate. Open a blog, a forum, a youtube channel, etc.

To make real money in any business, you need to either sell a real product or a real service.

You can't make money trading thin air. (Wolf of Wall Street quote).

The guys from Forex Factory, for example, make between 30K-50K per month as affiliates, and selling banner ad spots. They don't make a cent trading the market, and we are talking about the most popular forum in the business. None of their owners or admins, make a cent trading the market. Neither Merlin the magician or whatever.

They know their stuff and they know they can do a lot of money with Forex, but not trading it.

To make money with Forex, you need to be smart enough to never waste your money trading the market, and to stay away from trading.

You are right about everything except your opening statement. It is simply not true, actually it is far from the truth. I might be wrong but you sound like one of those guys who tried trading, wasnt successful and now blames everything else but themselves for their failure. If you didnt make it trading FX, it doesnt mean others cant. I apologize if I am wrong but thats the vibe I get from you. I have seen it too many times before...

in running forex trading business should be to do with the learning before the run, because of the existence of a the huge risks should strive to improve trading skills, success in forex it depends in its maximum capabilities in trading knowledge possessed

Are you saying you make a living trading RETAIL FOREX, month after month, and have done so for the last 5 years at least?

Sorry, but I don't believe you.

According to official brokers stats for a period longer than 12 months, 99.6% of people trading RETAIL FOREX lose money in this scheme. (Almost identical numbers as in Gambling).

I've been trading forex since 2005. I'm not sure if any of the traders who used to hang out at moneytec are still around. This makes me think if trading forex is profitable in the long term.
