i think you have the same reservation about using TE as I do. TE is too transparent, it shares your open and closed trades.

BUT,

why don't you use myfxbook and hide all that. show the equity, make it verified. and done

what's the excuse then?

i'm not trying to incite, just want to know why people have reservations about myfxbook if they do..

I will choose doubt and experience over dogma and faith any time. There is much greater satisfaction in the former.
It is not clear to me how logic would be part of dogma and faith. Logic has always been dogma and faith greatest adversary.

The actual question/problem (at least for me) is why should I install *anything* into my trading software that doesn't generate any value *for me*? I don't need the analyses features of myfxbook or any similar tool. I'm not looking for investors, I don't charge people for trading lessons ... There is no benefit but perhaps a potential risk (from an IT-security point of view it is undeniably there that risk). Being more credible on a place like forexfactory? Um, sorry, don't need that.

BTW: I'm using a non-supported platform anyway.

I know this sounds completely paranoid but I wouldn't share my trades anywhere, the broker is already more than enough.

yup, let's just not share any proof whatsoever.

trading is the only profession where proof of competency is not needed. Because at the end of the day, it's a self serving narcisstic job for the egotistical sons of bitches..

The problem I'd be worried about is bugs in the system that may cause my trading application to hang. From a system architects point of view: the less code the better and that something has access to an account which holds some serious money ... thanks but no thanks.

Thinking about that, I should develop a "plugin" for Bank accounts so that people can show off how good they're at earning money ...

elliott wavers out there spot the..... x ..... wave and trade a pattern that follows........a b c pattern.....

the " wave " is the 61 percent wave from the previous extreme....so there's a great understanding of the nuts and bolts....

but when ya get used to the times the action gets going....

then in hold your horses when you see the entry....you know , you r head says jump in......but wait till London opens or N Y ....those two wait for each other or N Y can follow through with a small move.....medium.....it'll pop.....trade for two hours and out

did you hear that.....Tokyo is fun for three hours or four...it's the slower session....London tricky......N Y.....first three hours at the most maybe!!

now some software tracks the Elliott or ending wedges.....but if ya run a slo sto on a 15M chart.....at maybe 34' 3, 3......
we have two bumps to the extreme to make a reverse trade or one bump to the extreme oversold or overbought, when in a faster session.......level 30 or 70......not the 20/80........get used to that and it's the pulse....of the short term

one last fact.....the 333 SMA on a 15M is the true trend Line, if the price action is above it or below .......same as a 200/50 .crossover, but funner to look at
i have earned more than 10k usd in last 2 years ..with different accounts profit sharing ... and 2 years back i made 15k usd in one month that was gambling on 100k usd account and after 15k usd profit the account owner just give me reward of 1000 $
more than 3k usd with signal service .. but not a consistently profit i closed the group and open ...clients go away and come back ..etc currently not proving signals
but havenot proven record .. but i am tying to make tracking record now with small account hope i should be able to do this ..
One of the great recent features in FF is the trade explorer which is the ultimate litmus test of profitability.
in profits consistent we should be able to get to the risk in control, and it also depends on each trader has not its science and trading skills that maximum advantage in reach
99.99% fail.
FF is full of them (noobs).

i also started a few months ago, and currently i lost about 60%.
but i started to figure out why ->
*greed
*demo accounts only for a few weeks (way too less!)
* way too less knowledge about the market.

so, currently i stalled the live account, and went back to demo.
beside that i am learning a lot about the market.

yes, i am a noob - but i will learn and sacrifice whats possible, to become better and profitable.
and i got already lot of valuable information here at FF
if indeed we want to get maximum results. Do not feel bored to learn and practice so that the knowledge and ability of our trading increased and could trade better. and we take advantage of its demo contest to hone our trading

Only 0.01% know WHEN to trade and WHEN the time is right to make money.
That's the huge difference.
i totally agree that consistency is key to success!
i think, most people do not realize, how much effort to put into trading, before getting to know when to enter and when not to enter a trade. (same for exits - as for my opinion exits are more difficult than entries)

do you really think, it is just about 0.01%?

While I generally agree about the necessity for consistency, I was wondering where that 0.01% number came from? I thought that about 95% of traders lose money, which means that the other 5% are profitable?

in my opinion, there are more losers than "only" 95%... (but 99.99% would still be too much, as The-Flipper pointed out).

other than that, it does not mean that 5% are profitable - think about the guys which are more or less break even.
