Went short at 0.76836, seems like a decent setup is forming, lots of supply overhead.

I think this current movement is just a reflection of the iron ore price, and it doesn't have much behind it.

I think investors are speculating that rates in Australia might not only hold, but rise.This assumption is speculative, as the greater probability is the RBA cuts rates whilst the Fed hikes. Moreover, inflation isnt going anywhere in Aus, and the last GDP report was negative 0.5%. Any easing signal in aus rates will ensure a steep correction.

of course, you also have to factor in the Iron Ore rally.

Very true i would expect the aud to drop on monday if you have a look at 1 min chart it looks like a big sell off occuring. With trump relasing tax incentives i think usd currency will be ok.

Eur currency seems to be very week all round and jpy looking bull every where

There is no sign it will break .76. Why should it go down? I think it's carry trade. Other currencies fluctuates wildly. But AU is steady. That's what investors need.

Its all perspective how people trade BUT for this week coming in the short term 76500 is A VERY STRONG LEVEL.
prediction is theyll accumulate into 7650 and then BOOM.
Hopefully this BOOM to 7750 or even 78c is done on tuesday. Im tipping it will be. Tuesday Asia morning should be a good one.
Buyside only until this move is done.

But once we take 77c, long term this is looking extermely bullish.

79xx (green shade / 50 fib resistance) and monthly 34ema which has been directing/following traffic for at least the last 2 decades looking good for long target off the 4hr retest, before the Aussie crap hits the fan I feel.

LOL You mustve held for two days. Thats a great risk management strategy. Not. you gambled on a top edge and won a gamble. Congrats. I don't know what the hell you are talking about, I'm long actually.

My point is the view of people who explain their analysis (better still if they attach charts) is worth more than just calls - but especially when you add that people should bet big on the call, expect people to ask how you arrived at the call.

As I said, a week ago you were making this same call and it fell. You are again making the call, do you just make the same calls until you are right? No? Then it would help to explain your position.

AUD seeing some buying today...looks like a setup..not a strong buying from desks as it it has no conviction....it seems like they going to hit this hard as soon as little bit is built....would be very cautious on buying AUD at this point. At the high against the USD in comparison to other commodity linked currencies. Possible downgrade by Moodys and SP. There is no reason for the strength at this point. Look at NZD...it's fallen and can't get up..batter up AUD
