mine is running because set sl not at pips but cash,lagest drawdown I get is 206 pips so by the rules I got sl too,at the moment got something about 250 pips plus

My basket also did not hit the stop loss and is now 313 pips up. I'm on Oanda. No way to tell if this is luck or if there's something to trading the basket in the way we're doing, according to this thread.

I've played around with the CCFp indicator in the past and here are my thoughts, for whatever they're worth:

Once a pair is in the strong/weak category (9-10 vs. 1-2), the trend is already extended and may not last much longer. So either we find a way to enter those pairs that are strengthening/weakening but not already at the top/bottom categories, or we take the strongest/weakest pairs and wait for a pullback to enter. But now we no longer have an easy, mechanical, set-and-forget strategy.

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

@Forexpinbar As LFN pointed out, the pip count by itself without looking at the number of trades can be a misleading statistic. If you're wanting to make a comparison, 2401 pips divided by 83 trades estimates on average, 1 trade was a 30 pip trade. This is ignoring various pairs traded with different take profits.

Things get more complicated if someone trades exotic pairs such as USDMXN among majors and minors which would show a biased pip count from the start.

I agree, any currency strength system I've tried in the past has been too slow off the mark. Personally I think Forexpinbar has just had a lucky streak up until now, but I'm happy to be proven wrong!

I'm still interested in looking at this and giving it a chance. In order to improve entry but still keep it simple, instead of entering right at London open, what if we make our hit list at the London open from the CCFp and then wait for a cross from under to over the 20 line on Stochastics in each currency that we have on the buy list, and then enter. If the signal line is never crossed, we don't enter that pair.

I don't think we should start adding 20 indicators and try to pinpoint entry. That defeats the purpose. I just want to improve the edge by entering in the right direction at closer to the right time.

His system is based on weekly ccfp. once market has a reversal. How long does it take for it to register the trend in opposite direction for pairs?

@gilab I said to Forexpinbar in this post that the CCFp-Diff_[v2.0] indicator was the only thing in common with his Weekly London Open system and he still encouraged me to post my intraday results and use of CCFp-Diff_[v2.0].

It sounds like you also would like to make your own entries and therefore you aren't doing the Weekly London Open system.

Since every trader has their own individual way of trading and decision making, it makes more sense to contribute in better uses of the CCFp-Diff_[v2.0] indicator. In other words, what, when, how, etc. For instance, so far I have found that the 0700 GMT+2 H4 candle gives the most reliable signal with roughly anywhere from 10 to 50 pips but I haven't tested many other combinations.

Since you've played around with the CCFp indicator in the past, can you tell us about the different versions or different settings or various ways of using it or several of them at the same time that would provide more quality tradable pairs?

Great job. I myself use $profit instead of pips in many approaches and you are live too. that is the best way to test this stuff. I too like to use live account when testing.
Even if it is a small amount you still get the whole sensation LOL.

0700 GMT+2 = 07:00 (i.e. GMT 2 + 5 ?) or 07:00 + 2 = 09:00 ?

@lghr I'm using the 0700 GMT+2 H4 candle with Trade_Level = 2. This doesn't always provide a signal so I've found it's OK to take a lesser quality opportunity by changing Trade_Level to 1 and simultaneously looking at H4 CCFp-Diff_[v2.0] and H1 CCFp-Diff_[v2.0] from the 0700 to see which pairs and directions are the same in both.

If GMT + 2 = 7 then GMT + 2 - 2 = 7 - 2 so GMT = 5, GMT + 5 = 10, etc.

This H4 Trade_Level = 1 signal is not as strong but these pairs will be the intraday trading pairs.

Will be interesting to see how it goes, I was just thinking the CCFp-diff MTF indi was doing a good job keeping me out of the market so far today!

Since I started trading this strategy I have never received a weekly signal for EUR/USD which is quite strange..Maybe the coders can answer this question..By the way how is your basket going?
