Hi Ben,

Long term chart. Inside 5th Leg or new low 5th leg I think will depend on the bond market. Good role over so far for test of lows.

A trip to that 886/1090 would be perfect for my technicolor projection of the future and so probably too easy. The pundits were calling this one to break new highs not too long ago, then after a bit of a sell off they claimed the technical damage was too great and that we are going to see new lows, then when it turned up they saw a V shaped recovery and 'it's on' again and now they have already collapsed in a heap of woe again. One thing that stands out for me on the chart is the 786 miss. That often portends a smash through in the future.

New lows would suit my cause. I've a little fresnillo now but that's it. If things go my way I'll be adding to pm stocks as they get cheaper and cheaper and cheaper. We'll see.

I hear you. I let most of the crap run past as well. Think there are smart people and then there are the usual pundits and their verbiage crap in between. What means most for me is the Fed have said 3 rate rises this year and maybe 4. I can't see gold running unless that changes. That V return has no substance for me to keep running to new highs with the current bond run. I can see a gap in the market to 1250 but I don't know where it will run but the levels are there and if it's going to new highs then you would think its needs to test that low again. Watching the one that matters the most to me is the 10 year.

I feel there is a rotation coming as most previous rotations start with a bottom of commodities, which precedes a turn in Bonds and is a leading indicator for a turn is equities. the normal is 6 - 12 months from bond breakout prior to equities turning. So if the commodities rally is true and the bond yields breakout has continuation the probability is we will get a sell of in equities within the next 12 months which will be bullish for gold. Industrial metals have bottomed, Oil has bottomed and most other commodities have bottomed. I prefer a long term buy for gold but am waiting for things to play out and where we are with the Fed.

The gold stocks will be looking good at new lows.
