The EURUSD is kind of forming a bullish flag above the 1.0700 level, therefore, it may try to continue higher.

its preventing a close lower than previous day... reduces the chances of a third day lower tomorrow... likewise with the last 10 mins of the hour i posted earlier, im short but i think this is going to new highs... towards and into 1.08... every bank under the sun buying that 1.0720 level

EDIT: --------------some more symmetry in second chart.. hasn't played out yet

Here I am repeating myself, all morning I been working and following up on this thread.. I still see people making weird prediction. WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE TODAY. 720-770 is the range. Although I do have new views on eu and usd. I will post them up in a bit.

Staying on the Right Side of the Market

Let's start with a moment of review:

The NYSE TICK ($TICK) is the number of stocks trading on upticks minus the number trading on downticks on a high frequency basis. (It's updated about every second on my platform). It's a sensitive measure of market strength and weakness, because it captures the balance between stocks trading strongly (on upticks) or weakly (on downticks) throughout the day. Very often we'll see diminished buying ahead of market tops and vice versa--a useful heads up.

Another way of looking at the data is to keep a running total of upticks vs. downticks through the day, similar to an advance/decline line. So we're adding the $TICK readings over time and observing changes in buying and selling from the direction and slope of the resulting line.

Above we can see the Cumulative TICK line for yesterday, January 24, 2017. Notice how, early in the session, we started with buying interest and steadily moved higher through the day. In other words, buying interest was dominating selling interest right out of the gate. Seeing that lopsided demand/supply situation provides us with useful information to ensure we stay on the right side of the market.

Our job as traders is to read market patterns and make decisions accordingly. Our job is not to impose our frameworks on markets and trade in ways that fit our theories (and that will make us look smart). Are you following the market, or are you expecting the market to follow you? Very often, that's the difference between successful and unsuccessful trading.

well we aren't staying in this range forever... one day is going to breakout either way... following your predictions is how you make money. what else do you expect?

calm down, like I said only "today." Clearly I did not say it is going to be permanent range.

And I was bullish on this pair (EU). After seeing how Trump is trying to make USD weak, it convinced me 100% that USD is bearish. To be honest EU is already at 1.0850 possibly beyond 1.09xx and 1.1xx. Call me crazy but everyone here is so caught up in this random range of 720-770.

Take a look at USD/Cad for instant. after the BOC statment pushing USD/CAD what happen after that?? a big drop (about to make triple bottom)

Take a look at NZD/USD it has been an uptrend since the beginning of this week. (USD bear) about to make a double top (I believe NZD today news will help that)

Take a look at AUD/USD it has been trending up also aside from yesterday (AUD CPI made a small drop) but it is still bullish today on AUD.

Which brings back to my point, why isn't eu going up? Well according to EU economy Brexit is obviously steering things up. Seem like Brexit is trying to push EU down while Trump is pushing EU up. Which cause this range, but it is dying out.

As a conclusion (since I am on USD/CAD about the triple bottom), EU is running out of bull strength and mostly likely drop hard pass 1.0600 after USD/CAD completes the triple bottom.

I might re-enter short on EU.

Now, I could be very wrong, but I am just sharing my thoughts. You guys don't have to follow it. I am learning just like you all and we all have our own strategies.

okay so EU is already at 1.0850... USD is bearish etc, but you are selling EU? or looking to sell EU for a drop below 1.0600...?

Im a bit off it here// u said the (To be honest EU is already at 1.0850 possibly beyond 1.09xx and 1.1xx) then went ahead to say it would fall pass 1.06? Is it me or shippp maybe it's me

You don't see it because Eu is having problems also, that pushes it down. If EU was as normal as Cad/AUD/NZD right now you'd see 1.09xx/1.1xx.

So, I got out of USD/CAD and buy on NZD/USD seem like I am on the right track so far. NZD news up boost.

NZD and AUD pay 1.5% interest! that is why they are where they are in comparison... GU is probably helping EU massively... not always, but sometimes it does

CAD is oil related, trump made a statement about oil pipelines in Dakota etc being made... its what dropped it loads...

see its trend with OIL, they also play 0.5% on rates

The problem is that fundamentally market has no reason to sell USD. US is in good shape economy doing well no escape form this fact for USD bears.

every data coming is positive even January PMI's which is showing trend is on it's way up, DJA is in record high today, Bonds yields are pointing to strong possibility of 3 hikes this year.

The only thing keeps market away from buying USD is some safe haven demand flowing into Gold and Yen. People just can't trust Trump. I think US Stock and Bond Market will show us the way...
There's no harm in being smtm wrong especially if one is promptly found out

Well, guess I am wrong then. Since yesterday you and many other ride the train where ever the market goes. Whether it goes up .0770 then you'd be like 1.0850. and then down to 1.0720 you go and say 1.0680. Seem like the market controls your thinking rather than you control the market's movement.

aren't these charts based on fundamental strategies mostly? and aren't they suppose to correlate? so randomly when its US session they decide to make all these decision all at once which made the drop against every pair?? how come EU isn't trending then. Tell me please ( not being sarcastic). I am just having my own ideas but I could be very wrong. Why is EU having trouble dropping/going up??
