I have assumed this means the H1 candle in question opened on one side of the middle BB line and closed on the other side. Each candle is marked with a "x" or "tick" depending on where it would be an entry candle based on the SMA line being already above BB middle line (long) or below (short) and not being flat.

If I've got it right there is only one trade ie the tick, which would not be taken because the BB is in a sideways pattern.

Hi Snoopy, better wait for confirmation from the OP or someone who has been trading it for a while. Good luck with the EA, if you get it going well I may give MT5 a try.

I have modified the buy/sell logic to reflect my better understanding of the rules, and re-ran some tests.

The main logic goes like this:
- previous H1 bar did not penetrate the Upper BB to the upside, not the lower BB to the down side
- SMA5 from 3 bars back is HIGHER than SMA5 from last bar (for going long)
- SMA5 is higher than BB Middle Line (ie SMA20)
- if there is already a Long or Short trade, this program will not place another trade to hedge or martingale it, it will look again 1 hour later
- this program only wakes up at the top of the hour when a new H1 bar is born

for this strategy BK i m a little confused with those examples on page 2
seems some of those entries where on the outer BB bands,are these also valid entries ?
Is this correct or should entries be only on cross of main centre BB band .as per the rules
