if DXY going to continue intra h4 downtrend, 101.56/101.64 time to show some more weakness

perhaps some retrace at 101.90/102.02

it may bring small bounce here... i posted another chart at start of the week, similar lines, these are different, they could be better for longer term longs. ill see how the move plays, i closed shorts prematurely... longs will be taken with precaution

i use other pairs to see whats going on with what, cross referencing etc. i used to look at more, AJ EJ CJ EA GA etc, they overshoot too much for me. NU AU EU UCHF and UJ (my favourite) i can usually get with some precision when im patient.

watching the charts on pairs isnt always the same as trading them, new pairs act differently, im sure you have had experiences with other pairs but just my opinion. obviously interest rates etc play a big role. even if interest rates are decreased, if they are still + and higher than others, then their money is generally more attractive... NU/AU... people are forgetting that interest rates aren't an overnight thing, USD has 0.75%... that wont change until it changes, their money is more attractive.

i know you don't like holding trades past certain times/over more than one day, but perhaps something to consider if you like to swing a little bit

One thing that I think about this.
The market spends two weeks ranging and 1 minute goin go price extreems and right back to the slow grind. It takes two minutes to post a target and two weeks to get there.
There isn't enough price action to spend every day for two weeks posting technical stuff. And if your doong it right trading should be boring. We like to have a laugh, have a little banter. We like a good fight now and then.
It's called having fun.

Hedging if u know where all the extensions and retraces occur you can buy and hold the extensions and sell the dips on the way. Full sequence trading is my specialty.

I tried swing trades for a long time - longer than I should have - and was not happy with the results mate. I have seen so many times trades going to break even or worse.

My target is quite frankly simple, 40 pips a day. Anyone who can achieve that will bea millionaire in a few years depending on your risk and money management.

i agree, exact same thing i am trying to find a solution to, i have/am working on a 20p SL and 40P gain for majors based on weekly levels.

ill still use my bigger swing trade levels, they give me more discipline. and i make more money from them. its the intraday method that needs tweaking.

Agree totally, this market/price behaviour has changed. Old tricks do not work anymore. I don't know maybe it is cause of central banks playing a more active role or there is too much dollar at the table and it became more difficult to move the whole lot.

Suthmo, believe me I love the fun part of life but as mentioned before even the jokes are lame. I am fed up with people posting weird cartoons and other members feeding the trolls.

Your methodology is great if you are making dollar with it and it sounds like you do. I wish nothing but the best for all of you here. I am not competing with any of you, I have my own challenges - mostly mental -which I am trying my best to overcome. I believe if you work long enough in this field, either you will reach your financial targets or it will literally drive you nuts and you will regret the day you first met the MT4 screen. Good luck my friend, let me know whether some of the levels I posted in my previous post is on your charts as well.

Swing trading is great if u have a solid framework like elliot wave or my system where u have a set of rules for whare each swing comes into the sequence. Without such framework swing trading is all guesswork, or they play to the daily SR wich is not a deciding factor.

I think it's further along than I previously thought. I want to buy here as there is high chance of support lots of reasons to long from here.

Wave count down looks complete. Sitting on multiple types of support. This wave's relation to that other wave and the thing they always do yadda yadda.

And the extension will be a massive

Measuring percentages fib story tells of possible 058X max but solid fib support is here. And other forces at play prevent further downside. And there is a second fib range in play here thats respecting already. Double fib plus another major quite famous reason for support here.

Counting waves
The wave count for this move down looks and counts as complete has to move up.

Follow the cycle
The cycle says "You do not want to miss the next move up". It's huge.
