Hehe most welcome. I had to many Forex Advantures in the past and lots of Sleepless nights and depression days but, just few of the steps to overcome your self.

Less hawkish than expected FOMC; 2440 is now out of the question. 2750 is holding up as supported.. picked up 50 pips with an entry there. Consumer confidence was also worse than expected. Heavy resistance around 2830-50, but if Trichet is hawkish, next target could be around 2890 maybe (61.8 of 1.36-1.16...forget exact numbers lol).

key resistance in around 2870-90.afret that 2970.may be go towards 3000 who knows!!

its possible that trichet strikes a move dovish tone which would send the pair down to 2740-50 where there is probably decent bid interest

Lots of depends on todays ECB rare decition.expected is to no change but if
it will increase by .25 or some thing like that definitely moves up ttowards 3000.

euro data has faltered possibly indicating that 1.30 is a ways off

I doubt that, 1.30 is gona be retested, its only temporary weakeness before EUR/USD gona regain greater bull strength.

First of all I want to say i'm sorry for the writing, I can't speak fluently or write in English.

I'm a pure technician in trading, and only believe what my eyes are saw.
And From what I see is that on Daily chart Eur/Usd the price is making what I called 1-2-3 pattern or King's Crown which is candle possible reversal pattern.

Also, Since Eur has been long since last week, I think this pair is now will have eventually move for other direction. This situation is also provided by the very long / high oscillators.

From this, I will wait for the trendline break on the 4 hour chart and go south.
and make my trade with TL @1.2500

i agree, NFP didnt disappoint, niether did ISM. though 1.3000 may be imminent, its gonna be a while. the dollar fundamentally still has some strength, and while trichet and ECB are on the euro's side, there still have not been clear signs that a rate hike is necessary. The pair could possibly break support at 1.2750, heading down to 1.2695

News is only good for the 30min period of the news, the Pro's will move us in the direction they like regardless.

Recently, I've got the feeling EUR and GBP is in a distribution phase, which means most likely, it'll head down at some stage.

Even with Bad US News, the market is still being sold, but for the close of the day the market recovers again on low volume, why ?? so they can dump and short more.

looks like eur/usd might have broken through strong resistance in the mid 2800's... next barrier is 2890. howd a long do right now?

I'm currently taking longs whenever we hit the low 1.28 mark.

i think its fairly safe in that we'll eventually hit the 1.3 and possibly the 1.32 mark tho this could be early next year, before the uncertainity of what the Fed will do feeds into the market. in a very simplistic manner even if the Fed raises another quarter point before xmas, i think over the long term the fed will begin to ease rates while the ECB will continue to raise rates into next year. This should feed into the market. Of course I'm making sure that even with consolidation Ive enough of a margin to carry these kinda longs through. in the short term we'll probably see more dips below the 1.28/27 mark.

Not enough pips to make it worth while, unless you get lucky and it breaks through and runs for 200pips ofcourse.

Trends all be up vaguely, so atleast your okay there


EUR tend to drift up in the Europe session then sell off in the USA early session, so on that note a long, could do okay.

I'm in agreement with Turveyd here.. Not enough room (pips) before the next big resistance for me to go long.. I do expect it to continue to drift upwards through the asian and European markets but feel that in the US market it will retrace back and give a nice opportunity to take some good pips..
