It's a combination of different things, right? Fundamentals and Technical's should be used in tandem. Either which way, I am currently shorting this, although I am not sure if my strategy will come into fruition before market close in US today. The /6e shows a bullish trend. The volume versus price action gives me pause to think that we are in for another major dip, before it sky rockets to 1.0670.

How did playing with colors worked out for you today? Market couldn't care less about today's positive numbers as it was bullish. If your "ideology" was the right one, price would be below 500 now. Why are they published? To satisfy the sheep.

Comeon if 1 out of 10 times the market doesn't care about the outcome, 9 out of 10 it does. I really don't understand why some of you guys think that you own the concept of trading.
Please give me a break.

PS: BTW it worked out very well for me today.
And one more thing. Good traders pay attention not only to the color of the numbers (green or red). They pay attention to the actual value of the number as well. Thus green does not necessarily mean a good result my friend.

I said that yesterday....  though i expected a few days to reach THAT HIGH.
 
But add spikes and here we are.
What's important is, i think, to know WHERE IT SHOULD GO. Rest is easy.
See yen for example.  Broken wedge, bad FED....down.

What's the point about arguing on the importance of news or not in FX trading? Imho, it's purely a matter of a trader's style and strategy. Trade safe and prosper.

Yes this is monetary policy and the problem with your understanding is that the monetary policy does not have immediate effect on the market, but the news about that monetary policy does.

And here is a question for you...Why on earth well reputated TV channels use so much money of their budgets to send Janet Yellen LIVE and why traders around the world follow her and trade every her word if news don't matter?

The truth is ,like Keen Pips said, that trading is a matter of style and strategy. Just trade the way that suits you, but don't say that news don't matter because it sounds funny
