Hi zalimfx,

The problem with scalping EAs in that they never work in live like in back testing, due to the following reasons (among others):

  1. Execution Time : In back testing the execution time is 0 (zero) milliseconds, while in live trading it can range from 30 to 800 milliseconds depending on your broker, VPS or not, ECN or not, location of broker ... etc.
  2. Tick Date Quality: MT4 doesn't save all tick data, and old tick data get removed, so when doing back testing Mt4 tries to simulate the ticks, but they are not real ticks. The missing ticks could for example let a trade survive longer than in live trading because the tick that hit SL was missing ... etc.
  3. Variable Spread : Back testing is performed using Fixed Spread, while live trading uses Variable Spread which can go as low as 0 and as high as 300 points, while in back testing you select (for example) a spread of 20 points which is fixed ignoring real spread fluctuation.

Hi zalimfx,

I looked at the EA mql file. Unfortunately the source mq4 file is a de-compiled code (hacked), so I can not modify.
As for brokers, I don't want to advertise any broker here, but I suggest that you look for Real ECN , commission-based Brokers with VPS support.

As for your other questions regarding EAs, they are all good tools coded for specific market conditions, so you'll need to perform some back/forward testing to see which best suites your starting balance and risk.

Hi Abo long time see this thread, or i have been blind. i have kept your abo_5 system alive my server, quite long time, i found good settings for EURUSD with 15m
I made also own because you didnt share source, logic is same, but somehow yours is little bit better even take same time trades.
dont know is it you use something different, i will send you those parameters values if you dont make them public. Would like to keep live testing
without any noise if 1000 people will start use it.

This is Euro , Monthly, Weekly and Daily -- it started a down trend in mid of 2014 --

Any trend reversal EA on a lower time frame (H4, H1) in the direction of the primary MWD trend would've generated good profit or 2016.

Abokwaik, congratulations on your fine thread. You have such patience with people who have clearly not followed the thread. I have only read the first third so far. I am concerned that at that point, early in the thread, you placed so much weight on win rate. Rationally, risk adjusted return is more important. I remember placing much weight on expectancy ratio rather than win rate ! see post # 30, early in the thread.

Hi Khalil,
In regard your coding expertise,can we take initiate to form a trend trading strategy,it can be long term on higher TFs and short term on lower TFs like swing trading,depends on user choice and approach/requirements.
i think we will start from on chart trending tools,later we will add indicators in sub window step by step for filtering purpose and the rest of possible accessories.
as per my very little experience i have never found any indicator like "StepMA of rsi adaptive tema 1.1" in a lot of cases,it compromise well in every situation comparing to other indicators of same kind.
