worst time of the year to trade on D1 chart timeframe with most markets closed for holidays.

I resume my D1 chart Position trading 2 weeks after the New Year.

The hard truth is trading the markets is very tough business.
No matter how many thousand of hours one put into it, making money out of the markets will remain out of reach for many people wanting to become traders.

Trading Made Simple is the 5-Method and is like many trend trading methods out there. This 5-Method is a simple trading method. But to make money trading with this method requires a lot more work in other areas of trading as a business which you will not find in public forums.

I think emmanuel gave you the best book for you, if your skill in trading is as you say. the only thing stopping you is YOU now.. which is why you need this book..

Why did you enter the trading world? to please others, to make friends, I Don't think so. so if you make yourself prosperous with trading, need not worry who likes or dislikes you..

Jan, BigE never removed stoch from TMS. He used it all the time for confirmation of direction. Do a word search in BigE full.pdf or an word search in FF.
Members in this forum removed stoch, snarlyjack started to drop stoch and relay sole on TDI. That is where it started. BigE as far as I could research in FF never rebuked snarlyjack for removing stoch from TMS.

emmanuel7788 can and most probably will share more info on this subject.

Thank you Tekkie for correcting me. I must have read it somewhere wrong in the thread then. Sorry for that. Anyway, I always have the stochastics on my charts just as Big E pointed out.

First comes knowledge about yourself, then comes a system...

The use of the Stochastics indicator is to confirm the TDI signal (Post#261 and Post#647). This is core of the 5-Method.
However, with more trading experience and better reading of the price momentum using the PA of APB/HA candles, one can drop the Stochastics as it shows the same thing as the TDI or RSI.

Look at this training chart below taken from Big E last Post# 10,736. Study the setup candles he marked with the vertical red lines.
What is the order of importance?
- PA using at the APB candles
- TDI cross and bounce to confirm the price momentum (the TDI signal).
- Stoch is to confirm the TDI signal.

*** just take note that the chart has the TDI Red Green refreshed so the actual realtime condition may look different in realtime market condition. This is one reason why I use the TDI Realtime version for all backtesting and when live trading.
