does the price have to be above 1.0750 (or xx) at the day close for the option to be cashed in?

ah 9pm UK time... price has to be above that to cash-out?

One can begin to wonder if post like this one become inspiration for SL hunting. Sounds strange but it is happening suspiciously often. Almost every time a post like this appears, the price reaches the target and goes back. Remember - if the big boys are to make big money, someone else must be feeding the market with that money.

Using SL for me is a suicide. It is better to start with very small position without SL, than starting with bigger position with a SL. Stop loss will almost certainly always kill your positions and cause you to lose money.

I've traded longs today, although we are still bearish on the higher TFs it looks like price want to go higher.
Just be careful, bears still can hit hard

Not using SLs is suicidal. The mystery of SL is where to put them...most people don't know where to place a SL so it makes sense(obviously double top or double bottom is not a good spot). Anyway, everyone is using a SL...either a hard one or margin call SL, there is no trading without a SL.

The day I stopped using SL, I began to make profit. And I am not the only one saying that.

Edit : Remember - your broker always have full control over the state of your positions and the whole trading setup. Everyone know at any time where r stop loses and take profit targets are.

Don....vanilla options expire at the NY Cut 10am est...that is also the London Fix at 1500GMT...hope this helps. It is either in the money or out. Barriers stay in play until broken...they do NOT expire.

ohh okay, so they hit expiry at 3pm london time, and have to have above the price to be in the money? i guess they do because them being at the exact price at exactly 3pm is pretty low chances...

im a bit confused, i read somewhere that they can expiry at 9pm UK time...

that one for 1.0x billion at 1.0750... price wasat 1.072x at this point - so the company lost x amount on that option... as soon as it expired... price rose and didnt look back??????

There is a problem with yor explanation of the purpose of the SL. You say that mystery of SL is to find the right place to put it. So you mean that if you place it on the perfect place, it should never get activated??? Is this what you mean? Then explain please what is the purpose of SL if it should never occur. Don ...back in 2004 I remember an issue over an expiry that was challenged due to the brokers feed and there was a big dispute.
