The bot is doing good, but my TP formula still fail sometimes

After 7 pips in profit didn't hit TP and goes direct to SL. Maybe some inside info can be provided by teacher @JibalaPasan.

I wish to walk with you sometime (as I did in the past with Jibala), but I had to disconect to the thread in his beginning due to some family problems. Now I'm trying to understand how you have reached such a wonderful results. As I know Maria Luiza's GAP theory so well I'm still lost in technical details I don't know how to solve. Also the theory has been moving a bit and it is very dificult to follow posts evolution.

Anyway, if you need someone to walk with I'm here allways available for you.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have a Currencymetergiraia indicator, but it doesn't have those arrows. Can you guys help? Thank you!

If I remember good the arrows are based on a rolling period of 30 minutes.

I warring you multiple times that too much filters doesn't make the system better, they just affect the raw signal and make it worst. I never used weekly pivots and market doesn't care about that, because our trading signals offer a rich momentum. For CT Fib/Piv's can still be good , better to trade with them on CT then without them, but be careful because only the first pullback could be valid, otherwise you risk to get direct to SL

This month I reach 1 year of Forex , the journey start with an Udemy course and a strong wish to success. I have no knowledge before , I am not even good at math or coding, I worked in marketing before so nothing related to this. I start coding because I couldn't find a coder to design a system how I wanted, I chose excel because was easier for me to understand, I discover excel advantages much later basic after I learn a bit c++ and see the disadvantage.

Veterans trade for 20+ years , my first thinking was how fast I can learn and recover all this years to be on the same level like pro's , and then I quit my job because I understand this is eating more time then I have , and I need to take a risk to success.

Thanks to this thread specially to @JibalaPasan and @nasap old post I make steeps faster then I expect ... what's next? Learn more , recover more the lost time and add green pips to balance.

@the_bourne this is direct on Fibo , the ask was above the fibo, if my fibo would be turned on it will be in the range of fibo buffer so no trade there, but the momentum is strong enough enough I don't want to miss the auction.

when I use the filters,I usually apply a distance and a buffer in pips
the calculation is not so simple and it is somewhat related to the Market volatility ,the expected TakeProfit and ADR,it is not a fixed value

About Fibo levels,I've studied them and I think that not all the Fibonacci levels are important.
This is just my statistical point of view

New member here, I discover all this facinating threaf about Gaps, Dash and excel, a few weeks ago, and been hard at work on excel.
I starting to experiment with different SL, TP, and TS settings for it I would gladly take advise.

Hello Traders, I hope you are all doing fine. Christmas time is very near and will give us time to enjoy and relax with our loved ones. But there is also some kind of work remaining if we want to continue in a successful trading.

We've changed a bit the interval of "send market order" and analysed hundreds of trades just to know why sometimes one trade becomes a winner while the other ends up in a SL. Just see for yourself:


Order Details: Main Trend UP, BR: 1.00 (+/- 0.72), RS: 8.99 (+/- 6.79), BS: 6.35 (+/- 1.69), BS GAP: 0.99 (+/- 0.45), APS: 6.82, AMS: 2.75, BSR: 64.29% / 35.71% (67.31%), Bs&Bs: 1.13 / 0.00 (+/- 0.61), GBPJPY 4.71 / -1.63

You study much much more possibility then me for this kind of situation, but I am just asking.

Based on TP , shouldn't we keep a ratio of 1/5 or 1/7 for TP/SL at GBP pairs , since direction is probability good for GBP pairs but because of high volatility we can hit SL very fast ? or wait for the most accurate entry also after the first buy raw signal we should expect for a similar GAP over cycle's in opposite direction to be sure the pair got his correction of the initial breakout, and we are ready for a new opportunity.

that is really a very interesting pic
you have tons of infos there,and you will have to find out by yourself what could really help and what is simply useless
but this will come only with experience and tons of statistical researches

just 2 little tips :

1- make screenshots each xx seconds,and study excel values at the moment of each trade opening
2- Daily strenght is important ,but try to explore no-time-frame related strenght,such as tick by tick buffers,you could choose a 20,or 50,or 100 ticks buffer and eventually discover something new

Tx for advise,
On your advise, I have taken or have already have some approach for it, now:
1. Based on it, I have add a screenshot taking and saving features/function of that range when TX conditions is meet en that he open a positions. So I can review at end of day winning and loosing trade.
2. I have noticed that and, because of it My settings that are good in first 12h must be reverse for next 12 most time. I have tough maybe I will add something/import from indicator, maybe a 12h candle H/L and all to make a 12h Strenght, instead of that daily Strenght. Will see latter this week, maybe My timing and reverse strategy could be enough.

Maybe also I still do to much trade per days now, and need to "up" my entry level, but was afraid to get in to late also.

I doubt that your broker is the culprit.

I checked my chart (not MT4) and the price went at the same level.
