Why would one trade against the trend? Probably because he is stuck with old positions in the same wrong direction and trying to place himself in a better position before the next reversal. So why is my perspective invalid?

Please read carefully, you missed the point.

Though people might vote for populists or "out of EU" movements this does NOT necessarily mean they satisfy their promises afterwards - THIS is the reality.. take Greece or UK as example. Things are never as bad as they seem.

Why do you pay attention to OTC? It has nothing with the real price to do. The price in OTC is just a deal between traders connected to a network which is currently disconnected from the global market. This closed market is not driven by news nor by sentiments. It is just a matter of what decision you make at the moment of opening a position and it's more like a gambling
