Thanks for this information, especially Petercrowns method, I am currently having the problem of getting stopped out at BE when I move my trailing stop, then the trade goes back in the original direction and goes on to make the expected returns. The trade hardly ever hits my original stop position but I dont like having too much risk on the table (thus the move to BE) and his method sounds like something I can use.

Fezmar method sounds interesting but when you start trading bigger timeframes, you could be in trades for a long time.

Does anyone have issues with MT4 crashing when opening the TMS Monitor? I usually run 2 or 3 monitors depending on the TF I wish to monitor. I have had a few issues with it in the past, however when selecting a new tempelate with TMS on it for M30 it keeps crashing. I had to go into the MT4 folders a delete a few charts for it to open with crashing.

Also is it normal for the GBP pairs to move so much near the end of the month? I looked at some daily history and the past two days appeared very violent. I just had my SL hit on GA short.

There are a lot of abbreviations that people use that I dont know what it is, but if you give me the whole word I might know it.

That is interesting because I had my Tp hit on GA Long, maybe you want to show your trade? Here is what I have

EDIT: Everything looks according to the rules, cross on tdi, two bar entry, above 5 ema, should of stayed in longer but you never know.

Yes your trade looks good. I wish that I was long H4 or H1 that was easy picking!

My trade was taken on the daily chart a few days ago.

Glad you found the info useful. Indeed, my own h4 trading reflects your experience, in fact, i would go further to say that the best swings usually would retrace quite a bit before taking off, and moving SL up to entry point simply puts your trade a greater risk of being taken out. When i first had the idea of possibly implementing the "1:1 principal" into my trade plan the first thing i did was go back through my trade history and see how many breakeven trades would have been saved. That stat was very exciting obviously, but the second part of the exercise was to recalculate all the profits from my winning trade using the 1:1 and whatever actual exit i had used on a given trade. There is a trade-off, most certainly, but each trader needs to decide how they want/should manage their trades. I highly recommend this exercise, and should you keep a detailed logbook of your trades, its really quite simple.

As a lower time frame tms trader (m15/m5/m1), who targets high R:R trades, i know with statistical certainty that i would be less profitable without the 1:1 rule.
