Got killed on eur/cad hit stop loss for -300 pips on demo. Would it be best to not trade during high impact news times? Or close out trades befors the news?

Some news come that we don't expect, thing are going to happen, you just got to be vigilant. 300 pips is to much for a stoploss. Never let that happen. Protect your capital

It was the sum of two positions that equaled 300 i was actually + 40 pips on both before they turned. Guess thats just part of it though

I damn near blew my account due to retracements...i was in +200pips last i checked...next thing margin calls thanks to retracements. :/ I didn't even trade the Euro today. I had to dip into my loyalty bonus just so i can live to trade another day...done for today, i will try to catch the next D1 candle open.

1. Your explorer says you did lose money.
2. I said such system as described in post #1 can't be positive and in post #7182, #7185 and #7187 you have prove for today. Do you need more of it?

The week has just started, if you measure your profit/loss by the day you have a serious problem. Show your explorer, I want to see how well you did with your system.
If people want to trade this system the way it is, why you got to bully them for it? I personally tweaked this system to my preference, I'm just tired of seeing you write crap about this system any chance you get, like you did in other threads. We don't know how YOU trade.. why is that??

As I said I'm here to tell everyone to stay away if they don't want to lose time and money. And i will say again if system is not 100% auto, TRADER is the one who makes system work.
About my trading I can say only one thing. Remember rule #1 TREND IS YOU FRIEND.

UNTIL IT ENDS yes, then you close the trade and open another one when trend gets back. Unless you want to trade every day, range market, 100 trades in a day/week...

Btw. why would anyone want to learn non profitable system. If it is profitable you would not be in loss after almost 2 months.
