Now, as i was saying a Holy grail isExcluding emotional, fundamentals bias, Trump crap..... Just a mechanical system. A system. Set and forget. Not 100% whoever think that's possible???? , i guess 60-65% win But one based on solid stuff.

Testing it for years. I haven't formalised it due to laziness and work..more work. which sucks. And my computer is abandoned with useless indis etc.

100% win rate system involves knowing all the participants and them being predictable. (google: insider trading positive sum)

I have some old books to sell, they must be worth atleast $1000 right now as you heard from TV, dollar is going to zero and they were made in 80's and as we know things were better and they're now "classics" being over 25 years old. The central bank is soon willing expand purchases from bonds to "anything" and pay well over $3000 a pop. Them being in obscure foreign language is advantage because of the "due diligence" or lack thereof. Opportunity of a lifetime.

The holy grail should be based in force. The force of the same price.
Is common sense.
If you are a newbie or expert, try to understand the price without any indicators. Only candlesticks as indicator.
If i discover the holy grail, i am going to make it public. I do not care about money, only for know more things.
I probably will not spend money buying books and systems from people who are not expert. I will do my own research using the scientific method and other methods, in the modern sense of the word.

Most strategies and systems are based on strength. Apparently those who created those strategies and systems are not aware that their strategies and systems are based on force of price, they simply use indicators. Those methods based on force that created those people (Indicators and other rules), the signals of entrance and exit only work in a certain specific place in the price. The important thing is to keep in mind that the force of price constantly influences.

Moving average, MACD, STOCHASTIC, FIBONACCI, SUPPORT AND RESISTANCE and BOLLINGER BANDS etc.. all indicators of this list basically are based on force and a lot of other indicators.

Be realistic and sit in a chair in front of your computer watching the graph. (No indicators) Observe how prices change direction and compare all observations with each other. observe for 4-6 hours a day every day from Monday to Friday.

Having the idea of finding the holy grail is an aggressive idea because it would probably be very difficult to discover for most people. People are not aware of all the work that might be needed. Probably because of the lack of experience in the markets.

Congratulations on my part if you are trying to expand your knowledge. I think that for the majority of the people is to make a good system to invest not to be looking for trying to find a holy grail. I think that find a holy grail could take a long time and apparently the majority of people is not currently prepared to find it.

I just started reading this thread and wow, I wish I would have read this a couple months ago when I started.

When I began trading, I was doing just what JohnW suggested - not because I intuitively knew that this was the right way to trade, but because I was simply ignorant of and intimidated by all the different indicators. At the time I did not know about S/R levelsm HIs and LOs.

Looking back, what I did do was simply look at the different time frames from 1m on up to 1month and back down.

And you know what? I was successful at trading. I thought it was plain old beginner's dumb luck, but reading this thread has gotten be to think that maybe it wasn't dumb luck afterall. I am absolutely no genius and have had only a couple months of experience but when it comes down to it, I lost and lost big only when I traded off of indicators and systems that relied on indicators. I got so bogged down with indicators that at one time I had 8-10 at one time giving me alerts, buzzers and emails...

I've only read a few posts so far but wanted to comment on this. Take it for what it is worth.

It's actually called "Holy Grail"?

It is sometimes called "Glory Hole" Because many are excited at first.. but when try to use it, curiously... they might "run" into great surprise
You do not know what's on the other side. But stil.. what traders, that are looking the holy grail.. are actually searching for (the ultimate) secret(s) of the universe...
It is similar to inventor that has an invention that might work perfectly... he would just need "superconductors" for it to work "perfectly"... But if he would find/invent those... he might not need an invention itself.... would got billions with superconductor technology

Similar to trading... If one would find Holy Grail here... he might also find the keys to the universe so wouldn't need the markets or not even money due to the ultimate power... or "cheat codes"...

Because why do we trade (or "should")? To get money right? Why? Because with money you can make things happen, buy, move things... Do a lots of things... So it does represents/buys power... But if you can tap into the power directly.. Wouldn't need anything... Like those Chris Langan (supposedly smartest man alive) is happy in horse-shit (no joke, google it), Grigori Perelman that rejected 1mio prize... although he is poor af... they say... and claim he found the secrets of the universe so he is happy. And also... at least how I understood it... in the "PI" movie.. once the guy got the "ultimate answer" (supposedly), he was happy with being lobotomised Maybe didn't need the (that much of a) brain power anymore.. final scene...

The programmers use this type of word to attract the newbie’s! You know the reality.

Basically Social Medias are full l of this type of funny claims; 2000%, 3000% profit; lol.

I would ask who believes such claims but I know, unfortunately, that such people exist.

There is only one proved sort of holy grail in trading.
