I think I found a holy grail.

I looked at it over and over again and I figured out that there was a miscalculation. I just want it to be deleted.
When I buy it, it moves down. When I sell it, it moves up.
What countries correspond to these pairs?

I longed XAU/USD and shorted XAG/USD in one account


and

shorted XAU/USD and longed XAG/USD in the other account,

and the interest rates were positive in both accounts.

Yeah, but the Cubs manager can kick dirt? Can yours do that? He just sits or stands in the dugout and looks all confident. Also, the Cubs should win a World Series within the next 100 years... I am not worried.

i think the only holy grail is combining your own technique with a good money management

The interest rate for XAU and XAG is pretty high.

I calculated it and it shows that you can earn $0.75/day for 1 unit of XAU/XAG long position and $0.25 /day for 1 unit of XAU/XAG short position.

So, if you have two accounts and long XAU/XAG in one account and short XAU/XAG in one account, the realized profit will be zero (if you don't consider about the spread)

And you will make money with the high interest. Doesn't matter if it goes up or down. Of course you have to wait untill it recorver the loss caused by the spread, but it will take just one or two days. Once the interest rate you get paid passes the loss of the spread, than you will make profits.

what do you suggest in case the gold/silver ratio changes? It fluctuates quite bit as time goes by. See i.e. http://www.kaiserbottomfish.com/i/jk...LT20060311.gif

It might very well affect the gold and silver lease rates and due to that their relation.

There must have been a panic tho' as there's some unwinding happening in the carry trades.
