I'm new to trading, but like others have said, I don't think it matters what your win rate is. You can go broke with 90% and you can make a lot of money with only 30%. That's the impression I've got from the Market Wizards books.

I fall into this group. I think the main key is money management and patience. Never ever over leverage yourself and cut losses that are not recoverable and you can be ok. So far so good hopefully I can keep it up.
Well havent tried this system yet. But heard positive reviews about it from a friend of mine. Can anyone tell which system is this? Whats the name of this system?

that is the belkhayate centre of gravity. on backtest it works awesomely. on forward test it fails as the indicator repaints.
I think it would be really good if you could get 51% right. Over time you would make a lot of money. What do you think?

You win 90% of trades and make 1 pip

You lose 10% of trades and lose 10 pips each one

That's right. You need to make the wins and losses at least equal.
90%, is really very good percentage! I think, all of trading systems are good with above 65% success ratio! I’m trading with 65-68% ratio, I recover my losing trades by using high-profit ratio.
You don't need 90% win ration. Mine is just above 50% but my very small account is slowly growing up, step by step.

Yes, that’s the procedure! But, good money management and risk management knowledge are very much important in this case!

two sigma is a system trading firm. Two sigma and Renaissance are regarded as about the best two system trading firms around.
And please dont ask me what they do as it is way way out of my league.They both have a staggering level of sophistication

You can have a win rate of over 90%. If the R : R is skewed to win rate, for example, a 5 pip take profit with a 100+ pip stop loss. I see people occasionally producing these win rates and posting them, but when they fail, they take the account with them, a bit like Martingale. Learners have to be very careful in these threads.
