Anyone have a good position trade system?

Hey there everybodies,

I just bought this cool simulator and I have been doing well with the system I have been trading yet it's a daytrade system (highly discretional) and I would prefer if I could move into the realm of " not sit at your desk and stare at the computer for 8 hours" type of trading.


I wanted to trade Vegas' system yet I unfortunately cannot do so due to the fact the my simulator only carries all of the regular indicators and nothing else. cannot create custom indicators either.

here are the indicators availble:

Pivot Points: Weekly, Daily and live/timed
Bollinger Bands
Moving Averages: Simple, Exp., and Weighted ( no negative numbers and the limit is 200)
MACD
Momentum Oscilator
RSI
Accumullation Streghth Index

ADX (or Directional Movement System as some call it)

It also does candlesticks, renko, 3 line break, Kagi. The point and figure on this thing is horrible and needs to be fixed.

That's pretty much it.

If anyone can offer a good reliable and profitable system that doesn't require staring at a computer for more than a hour at a time, please email me or post it here. I willl forward test the thing as best I can. Thanks.

I might post the system I am using on this thing. I am only done the month of January 2005 and trading bet 12-8 EST on the EUR/USD. So far, 78% accuracy and turned a 5000$ account into 11000 (all fake money just to let you know). It's still just a simualtion using past historical data but I learned a lot so far from it the practice. Once I am done 1 year and consistent I will compile and post it here if it stays that accurate. It's highly discretionary though and is a daytrading system. Please again realize, it is still just a simulation forward test.

If anyone is interested in this simulator, please let me know. PM me. Just mention that I mentionned the darn thing. It just might help me out. Plus if I can get enough people interrested maybe everyone can get a deal or something for this forum.

As far as I see it position system works as good as a day trading system when scaled for a bigger timeframe.

Never thought of that for some strange reason and considering that the system I am trading doesn't really use too many indicators, that might work! Thanks.

Still any good systems that anyone can offer would be most super.

I'm glad your system is working! Congradulations. But I would be suspect of a system that tests historical data. I know you have a good relationship with the owner of the system, but why waste time with historical data? Open a demo account and use your system testing current data. This injects a more rigourous test standard. How would you ever know that your system your running historical data was custom-fitted? If you use current data, you eliminate that uncertainity and obtain more credible results. But Good Luck!
