That's simple one.
Expect market volatility but not that extreme like June 26. There is no point speculating what will happen to the USD no matter who wins.
Top priority is to preserve trading capital. Take what the market gave you and walk away.

Those who long EURCAD, GBPCAD, AUDCAD and NZDCAD ... take profits and stay away. Those who long CAD thinking it will strengthen should do the smart thing 'cut losses'. If you have a gambling habit and addiction, take it as another lesson learned.

The HA is resting on support so wait for next candle to confirm breakout or reversal.

Hi Emm,

I do understand long and short term trends, but I am struggling with the time frame to look back in the longer term period to determine the trend there.

I try to clearify my question in your example: suppose I take a H4 trade (buy) in the yellow spot (suppose blue line H4). The green line (suppose D1)

So I have a blue H4 uptrend starting at my buy , but in green D1 I have a downtrend in time period A but also (an ongoing) green D1 uptrend in period B (with some pullback ongoing right now). Which period do I have to consider?

there are 6 H4 candles in one Day,
and there are 5 Day candles in one Week.

Look at EURNZD today and for rest of this week.

Which is your Short-term Trend, Intermediate Trend and Primary Trend?

If you take a trade in H4, which of the 3 trend are you trading?

When Big E trade H4, which timeframe trend was he referring to as "short term and long term trends"?

I have a question confused me, the entry should be on 1st or 2nd candle, that is right, but my question is the entry should be the beginning of the 1st/2nd candle or it can be half way of 1st/2nd candle once you see the green cross red?

I read Big E post and found he answered someone , looks like the entry should not be the half way of the candle. But I checked some his training chart, it is definitely his entry is on the half way of candle . e.g the following chart, his entry was 1st candle, but I think when the 1st candle opened, the cross did not happen. it must happen on the half way of the 1st candle.

Hi,

that training chart was refreshed and that TDI was re-painted. It was based on that TDI Red Green indicator.

if that chart was not refreshed, then there was no TDI cross while the 1st candle was still active and had not close. The TDI during that 1st candle would still have not crossed because the previous candle was bullish closed. If anyone had taken that 1st candle with TDI cross, than it would only mean that chart was refreshed half-way during that 1st candle when the price move lower and than that previous blue candle. That 1st candle would then had changed its colour as the lower close price below the last blue candle.

Look at my chart below which compares both the TDI Red Green and the TDI Realtime version.
Note the price action and the difference in the TDIs.
If I refresh that same chart both the TDIs will show the same like the realtime version.

Hi Emm,

But you do not need to refresh the chart all the time right ? You only refresh the chart when the new candle is available right ?
And is it better to adjust the TDI to real time ? Thanks.

A set up is NOT GREEN TOUCHING RED. Why? Many times green bounces back and the original direction continues. That's a bounce trade.
Wait for green to CROSS RED and open your trade at the beginning of the new candle... usually candle 1 or 2.
Catch the momentum...

I can't believe there is still confusion here on What is candle 1 or two... If there was a reversal and it went 6 candles let’s say... The first 2 candles are #1 & #2. If I
don't get a signal to enter from the TDI on (candle 1 or 2... green crossing red).. I pass on the trade and find another. This is the rule. The only exception is if the green line bounces away from the red line I'd jump in because it's a bounce trade...
Never enter when green is just touching red... why?... because it might bounce back instead of crossing the TDI Red... wait for the signal... as soon as you see the cross... enter right then... it's happens at the start of a new candle... Don't wait to enter on candle 3 or.... later.

When I see green cross red it's a set up... but before taking the trade I look at PA, Hi/Lo,
Res/Sup, Stochs, etc, etc BASIC Forex things you need to check on any method or possible entry..
If it all looks good, I jump in... only takes 30 sec. to look at it all when your experienced. It's

Quiz is a good way to learn.

My answer:

1. Against H4 trend
2. very close to the support level.

Hi,

it depends on which TDI version and setting you use.

what are Big E original rules? I need to understand this because many traders here do no seem to have common understanding of the 5-Method basics.

let's make our trading life simple.

know you chart template and the indicator you have on your trading chart template.

no need to refresh our charts when we are trading. Just trade what wee see.

1. Against main trend on chart
2. False break of an inside bar (because price goes through the IB, but then closes back inside it - making it a 'false break')
3. Yellow line pointing up (broadly speaking , although flat at the cross), red line pointing up.

Taken as a whole you see that the chart is bullish and that the TMS indicator is favouring continuation of going long, so shorts shouldn't really be in play. Long on a break of the IB with a TMS signal would make more sense.

Hi emmanuel7788,

In my understanding,Big E's rule is

1. TDI green cross red with good angle(12-2 or 4-6) and
2. tdi is 1st or 2nd candle after changing color and
3. sto has same direction with tdi(optional)
4. checkng all other fx basic staff like s/r previos reverse etc.

if all good then go into trade.

But my confusion is the entry must to be 1st candle or second candle beginning or not.

You said it depends different tdi version,the version I am using is 13,0,34, 2,0,7,I checked serveral page I remember your tdi version is 10,5,34,3,1,7.... I am not sure your different version refer this?
